Sharepoint in all projects managed.
. At the last company I was at I was handed a SharePoint server
and given admin rights and told to see what I could do to build
an intranet. I developed prototypes and evangelized the system
across the company training people on how to use it and giving

default intranet of the company which had about 300 employees
at the time. All of this was done from scratch not knowing
anything about SharePoint.

2005 - 2009 Compellent Technologies, Inc.
. Product/Project Manager - Hardware
o Launched an entirely new version of the hardware on time
and on budget. This involved managing three concurrent
projects across the entire matrix of the organization
and managing expectations of C level sponsors.
o Managed vendor relationships with Bell Micro, Xyratex
and Qlogic. Also worked with Seagate on special
situations.
o Utilized Microsoft Project and Sharepoint in these
efforts.
o Administrated and crusaded for the use of Microsoft
Sharepoint which eventually became the default intranet
site.
. International Storage Architect
o Managed a team of 23 resources for federal government
black site projects where the goal was to supplant our
competition. Specific information is confidential.
o Educated partners about virtualization products such as
VMware and HyperV as well as the Compellent Storage
Center.
o Initiated and managed the project and process to produce
on line tech tips.
o Developed procedures and documentation for prospects and
customers to gather server performance data that could
then be analyzed for input into a configuration tool for
a storage system.
o Developed and maintained an automated configuration tool
that would accurately configure the storage system for
the proper performance indicated by the analysis of the
server performance data gathered for the site.

2000 - 2004 Xiotech Corporation
. International Storage Architect
o Worked with and trained international distributors on
the Magnitude virtualized storage system.
o Recruited and technically developed international
partners to the point of being self sufficient and not
requiring daily guidance. This effort in building the
international business became 10% of corporate revenue
during my tenure.
. Healthcare market project manager
o Worked to coordinate our system for PACS certification
and contacted PACS vendors to obtain agreement for
certification. Developed business plan with the
marketing manager.
1996 - 2000 SRM, Inc.
. Senior Business Analyst & Project Manager - Software
o Created repeatable business around gathering business
requirements and creating a framework or library of
Visual Basic and database structures for licensing
systems used by licensing boards at the State of
Minnesota. This involved project managing multiple
simultaneous projects and application development teams
using agile software development methodology. This
represented 20% of corporate revenue.
1993 - 1996 StorageTek (Network Systems Group)
o Gathered telco business and physical requirements for a
project, for which I was the voice of the customer that
produced an equipment cabinet that was custom for telcos
as well as being NEBS and earthquake zone5 compliant.
o Regional Sales Support Manager (Telco). Worked with the
major telcos such as AT&T, Bell Atlantic, Southern Bell,
etc. at the business level for the configuring and
ordering of network routers and mainframe channel
extension equipment.
o Responsible for the management of the application
development, staff, architecture, information, automated
facilities, tool development and acquisition, content,
product sales, and product ordering of the
Inter/Intra/Extranet WWW office which included both the
frontend and backend systems. Worked closely with IT
to implement the infrastructure for the effort.
1990 -1993 Datacard Corporation
. Senior Product/Project Manager - Transaction Terminals -
Hardware and Software
o Negotiated an interoperability agreement with a
competitor to allow company equipment to attach to their
wide area network equipment.
o Opened the Carlson Company account and worked directly
with Curt Carlson at the inception of the Gold Points
program.
o Was the technical product person on the sale of
terminals to Moneygram which are still used today.
o Product/project manager and architect for standalone and
networked platforms for a new line of point-of-sale
terminals and local area network that perform credit
card authorizations, debit transactions, and other data
collection functions such as frequent buyer information.
Led the software architecture and development effort
with the development staff. Managed the launch of the
product across the entire organization.
1980 - 1990 CPT Corporaton
. National Manager Technical Sales
o Spearheaded and managed a project that ported a language
translation program, English to French and French to
English, to our Unix office system. I then sold this to
the International Monetary Fund and to Bell Northern
Research. Each of these sales brought in over $500,000
in immediate revenue and an additional $500,000 during
the sales cycle.
o Responsible for complex system integration involving our
equipment and existing customer equipment.
