Takacs Construction has been involved in over $850,000 worth of

commercial build-outs in Sarasota and Cedar Rapids malls. These

projects; Great Steak and Potato, Hibachi-San Grill and Panda Express,

were under my supervision as to scheduling, inspections, change orders

and completion to turn-over to Owners.

Remodelling a riverfront investment property, over $200,000,

included a new kitchen, two new baths, new A/C system, new tile and

carpet, a circular staircase and new decks and new dock.

Several other smaller projects have ranged from complete renova-

tions to removal and replacement of all windows and doors to upgrade

to impact resistant units.

$5 Million, Country Inn & Suites

Working for a Port Charlotte based General Contractor, I generated

the construction schedule and co-ordinated all subs. Blockwork, pre-cast

concrete slabs and framing drove this project. MEPs and fire sprinkler

would start each floor as the framer completed his work. Windows,

exterior finishes and site work progressed. Many owner changes needed

to be incorporated through out the project. Economic times forced the GC

to reduce his payroll.

$10 Million, 9 Story Condo (16 month project )

Starting with the first elevated slab, the construction schedule was

my responsibility. All subs received direction and information on specific

units from me. The interior and exterior of the building, from sod and

irrigation through final carpet and cleaning to Owner acceptance were

also my responsibility.

As Superintendent / Project Manager for several Florida and one Alabama

General Contractor, my 15+ years of experience include:

$165 million+ of Apartment and Condominium construction.

$35 million+ of Commercial Construction, including a bank, a Circiut

City remodel,a library, manufacturing facility and offices,

Wal-Mart expansion, a hotel,Barnes & Nobel, 2 mall restaurant

build-outs, and Medical / Therapy Center.

$14 million Skilled Nursing / Assisted Living Facility ( including

A.C.H.A. inspections )

Since the mid-90s, I have overseen site work: cut and fill to balance sites,

installation and construction of underground utilities, roadways and

parking areas

Structrual experience includes review and overseeing installation of wood

frame, masonry, concrete and steel columns and beams, driven and

auger-cast pilings, prestressed concrete panels, on grade and elevated

post-tensioned slabs, open-web bar joists and wood and steel

roof truss systems.

Scheduling of subcontractors and vendors has always been my strong suit.

I will schedule all of the trades in a manner to allow the project to

proceed at the optimum pace with the desired quality.

Family obligations had previously forced me to leave some employers in

order to remain within an hour or so from home. With the current

economy, however, I can no longer afford that luxury.
