Data Architect for DD(X) project
Responsible for the overall data flow design for TSCE (total ship computing
environment) software on the DD(X) project. DD(X) is a naval project to
build a revolutionary new ship which is an advanced land-attack boat. The
ship will have a completely integrated computing environment and represents
the largest software engineering project currently known to humankind.
Responsible for gathering requirements, determining and documenting optimal
data flow between database systems in the TSCE.

NetGenesis 4.5 - NetGenesis 6.0.1: Senior/Master Software Engineer
(5/1999 to 8/2003)
Database Team Developer for NetGenesis Product
Worked on major enhancements, upgrades and bug fixes to database components
of the NetGenesis web analytics product. Designed, implemented, debugged,
and documented software as an individual contributor.
. Added Oracle 9i support to NetGenesis product. Analyzed new 9i
features for use in product.
. Designed and implemented schema and data transformation components
for product upgrades. Incorporated RDBMS vendor upgrades, SQL
Server 6.5 --> 7 --> 2000 and Oracle 8 --> 8i --> 9i.
. Enhanced and fixed bugs for upgrade engine component. Included
enhancing upgrade engine to add the ability to transfer schema and
data between different RDBMSs. This was used to upgrade Informix
customers to new Oracle based product release.

Led the feature team responsible for developing and delivering the
NetGenesis 6.0 product upgrade. The 6.0 release was a major product
release including a new highly scalable web log importer component, a
rearchitected job scheduling component, and new reporting usability
features.

implemented, and unit tested schema and data
. transformation components. Upgrade components were implemented in
C++, SQL, PL/SQL stored procedures, UNIX shell and Windows cmd
scripts.

RogueWave core tools, threads and dbtools class libraries, and SUN

Riverton Software Corporation, Cambridge, Massachusetts
HOW 1.0 - HOW 2.1: Senior/Principal Software Engineer (7/1996 to
5/1999)
Joined Riverton to work on development effort for launch of 1.0 release of
HOW for PowerBuilder, Riverton Software's first component based application
development tool. Was responsible for design and development of data
model synchronization interface from HOW's object repository to the
PowerDesigner data modeling tool. Also worked extensively on data model
interface from/to ERwin data modeling tool.
Led design and implementation of synchronization of PowerBuilder stored
procedure data windows with HOW. Worked on
generation/synchronization/capture of PowerBuilder application components
to/from HOW business object and task storyboarding builders. For HOW 2.0
development effort, worked on extending HOW core generation components for
generation to other IDE targets (Visual Basic and Java). Worked with QA
team on product testing of HOW for VisualBasic and Java for three-month
period.
The product and development platforms were Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0.
Development tools used were Visual C++ 4.0/5.0 with MFC, Basic (VBA), and
SNIP (template based C++ code generation tool).
Cayenne Software Corporation (formerly Bachman Information Systems),

Client/Server Database Applications: Senior Software Engineer (5/1994
to 7/1996)
Developer for Terrain Product
Worked on bug fixes and enhancements to Bachman's Terrain product (DBA tool
for Sybase). Specifically focused on the Create Triggers Task and the
Design Task.
Team Leader: ORACLE Generate/Capture for Terrain Product
Led the development effort to create a native ORACLE interface capability
for Bachman's Terrain product. Contributed to product definition and
requirements. Was responsible for high level functional and software
design. Wrote functional and implementation specifications for the
product. Designed and implemented the ORACLE Capture Catalog Task for
Terrain. Was responsible for product planning and release. Supervised
other team members. Development tools used were Visual C++ 1.5 (with MFC)
and ORACLE's OCI (ORACLE Call Interface). The development and product
platform was Windows 3.1.
Installed ORACLE 7.0 RDBMS on Solaris 2.3 server. Acted as company-
wide database administrator for
ORACLE 7 and Sybase System 11 installations.
Team Leader: DDL Generator/Capture Products
Led the development effort for 4.2 release of a suite of eight DDL
generator/capture products. These products interfaced with the Bachman DBA
for DB2 product to generate or capture DDL for SQL Server, ORACLE Informix,
DB2/6000, DBM, Ingres, Rdb, and Adabase from the DBA for DB2 product.
Fixed bugs and made enhancements to the products. Was responsible for the
products' release. Supervised other team members.

Work Group Products and Applications: Principal Software Engineer

Worked on design team developing a state of the art product configuration
management system and BOM (bill of materials) application. Worked on
design of core object model. Worked on implementation of GUI and client
application of product prototype. Borland C++ and zAPP (GUI) class library
were used as development tools. The development platform was Windows 3.1.
Assembly Design Applications: Senior/Principal Software Engineer (7/86
to 11/93)
Senior project member on a team that designed and implemented a multi-user
(client/server architecture) assembly design product, CAMU (Concurrent
Assembly Mock-Up). The CAMU product is currently in production use by many
major automotive and aerospace companies. CAMU won DesignNews magazine's
'Best New Products of 1992' contest in the 'Computer Productivity Tools'
category. As part of the same project, helped to define and implement an
object oriented database API. Object oriented design and programming
techniques were utilized in this software development effort. Development
and product platform was UNIX (various flavors).
. Designed, implemented, debugged, and documented software as an
individual contributor. Did extensive work in many functional areas
including development of multi-user server, interface to graphical
modeler, user attribute capability, assembly tree manipulation, and
parametric positioning.
. Team leader responsible for development of several major functional
areas of the product, e.g. user defined attribute capability,
parametric positioning and GUI. Responsible for supervising team
members, project scheduling, and planning.
. Acted as manager on numerous occasions including a three month

PC/ES Applications: Software Engineer (11/1980 to 7/1986)
Worked on design and implementation of a database subsystem for a UNIX
workstation based printed circuit board design package. The package
included IC and discrete placement, routing, and post-router editing of
incomplete signals. Designed, coded, and debugged application software for
package to allow quick editing of printed circuit boards on CADDS 4X
systems. Team leader responsible for maintenance and enhancement of CADDS3
PC/ES (printed circuit/electrical systems) software.

Computer Consultant and User Center Supervisor (9/1977 to 12/1979)
Responsible for smooth operation of user center while on duty. Duties
included helping academic users to debug programs and use pre-programmed
software packages. Assisted students with hardware operation and reported
hardware malfunctions. Worked with system operator and supervised other
