. Responsible for the daily management of the entire qualification process
of all injection molding parts, including coordinating the qualification
efforts between our China vendors and our team in the US.
. Responsible for managing the schedules of 6 team members (2 product
support engineers & 4 technicians).
. Responsible for coordinating Injection Molding (IM) Tool Qualification
samples from our China vendors, First Article Inspection (FAI) for all
incoming qualification samples, and generating Tool Qualification reports
to be reviewed by the company's senior management (CEO, CFO, COO, &
Director of Engineering).
. Exercised engineering judgment and experience to approve or reject
Injection Molding (IM) tool qualifications based on First Article
Inspection (FAI) data, test results, and various IM Parameters (i.e. Melt
Flow Index (MFI), IM Process Records, & IM Equipment Records).
. Responsible for coordinating Accelerated Life Testing (ALT), Design
Verification Testing (DVT), Environmental Exposure Testing, and Pilot Run
Testing for OEM quality cell phone accessories.
. Responsible for all product documentation efforts including part and
assembly drawing creation, tolerance analysis (GD&T), functional testing
requirements, test procedure creation, part number generation, and
revision control.
. Responsible for coordinating the receipt and inspection of quality
control production samples for every shipment to our customers, including
generating Non-conforming Material Reports (NMR) and Corrective Action
Requests (CAR) to document the Root Cause failure analysis and
Corrective/Preventative Action requirements.
. Communicated directly with our customer's engineering and quality groups
to complete PPAP qualification requirements for parts and assemblies.
PPAP Qualification documents included: First Article Inspection (FAI)
reports, Process Control (Cp/CpK) reports, Pilot Run Test reports, eW-18
(RoHS) Restricted Materials reports, Melt Flow Index (MFI) reports, IM
Process & Equipment reports, Supplier Quality Control Plans (SQCP), and
Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (PFMEA) reports.
