PROJECT # 9
Title : Data Migration Tool
Mar'01 to April'02
Client : RMS, USA
DESCRIPTION:
This Data Migration tool involves in migrating data from one database to
another database. This tool facilitates the user to select the source
database among the databases Ms Access, SQL Server, MSDE and Oracle and the
target database among the databases SQL Server, MSDE and Oracle. The client
RMS has their own requirements to migrate the data. The client has two
database designs one is called as Ver4.5 and the other one is ver5.0. The
ver5.0 is the updated database design for the new requirements. And client
RKS has their data in the ver4.5. This data migration tool takes the ver4.5
as source database and transfers the data to the selected target database,
which satisfies ver5.0 requirements. Usually all data migration tools
transfers the data by record wise but in this tool we used bulk copy
utility which transfers hundreds of records at a time, because of this
utility it takes very less time to migrate the data when compared to other
migration tools.

. Used Multi Threading mechanism to hand over data from one module to
another module.
. Written deal proof product software designed as desktop application as
well as deployed on Citrix environment for end users usage.
. Created test cases and tested the application with huge data across the
databases.
PROJECT # 10:
Title : ANN for pattern classification and forecasting applications
Sep'00 to Feb'01
Client : IICT, India
DESCRIPTION:
This project is helpful in voice recognition. This project takes input
as the properties of several items belonging to the same category and its
corresponding classified name as input and trains the neural networks with
the given data. After training if we give any new item to the neural
network, it finds the newly entered class name without going for the
database and existing statistical methods. This project solves the standard
Iris flower pattern classification problem and Wine classification problem.
One robust algorithm named improved non-equilibrium simulated annealing (I-
NESA) is used in this project. The INESA algorithm was published in IEEE
magazine in 1997, but after that several modifications were done on this
algorithm. The most recent version of the algorithm is been implemented in
here.
Role: Software Engineer
Environment : VC++, MFC, Win 32, SQL, PL/SQL, SAX XML Parser, Oracle, SQL
Server, and MS-Access
Responsibility: Involved in writing class diagrams and coding in VC++ using
STL and MFC.
PROJECT # 11
Title : Project Information System
Jan'00 to Aug'00
Client : IICT, India
DESCRIPTION:
This project is used as an information tool in the IICT. This particular
project keeps information about the projects that IICT gets from outside
chemical Industries, the research topics chosen by various scientists and
even about the awards that are allotted to the researchers. This project
keeps information not only about the papers submitted but also about
whether they are published in the magazine with corresponding date and
time. It also contains all the scientists and researchers details for
future reference. This tool immediately tells the status of each and every
operation, which goes on in the IICT. Each and every scientist, researcher
and concerned authority have their own privileges to log on to the system.
This information is updated daily by an operator. Depending upon the
specification this tool reports the details of the scientists, researchers,
status of the project and awards given for various projects. And it also
generates the Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual reports.
