Skills
I'm most proficient with the Redhat variants of Linux, but I have plenty of
experience with other distributions. Suse, Slackware, and Ubuntu are in my
repertoire. At CSU I worked extensively with Solaris 7 through 9, and I
also worked a bit with HP-UX 9 through 11. I'm a big fan of OS X as a
client operating system. I enjoy it's BSD underpinnings and it's pretty
shell. I'm also familiar with recent Windows versions. My experience
therein lies mostly with the client side, but I'm familiar with the server
fundamentals. I'm experienced with the LAMP stack, setting up and
maintaining DNS, Samba, NFS, LDAP, SVN, Iptables & IP routing,
Sendmail/Postfix/Qmail, NAS & SAN systems and filesystems, and server power
systems. I'm an excellent problem solver and am patient and reliable. I
enjoy a job well done, and strive to do so in the things I do.
