Project: DAPS (Developer Access to Production System)
Description: DAPS is a web-based tool capturing and reporting all
privileged accesses to production systems by developers and other users.
DAPS uses the firm-wide PAC (Production Access Control) policy for
reconciliation and to provide an audit trail for all privileged (SCSU/SU)
accesses to root & privileged accounts. TIScan (Technology Infrastructure
tool) is used to scan production/COB and UAT servers for all privileged
accesses on a daily basis. A separate business process known as electronic-
workflow (eWorkflow/EW) generates notifications to the respective
individuals and their managers to reconcile the activity. Access logs are
parsed to generate e-Workflow events for each access and an email
notification is sent to user that accessed the machine. DAPS generates
various online reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for Senior
Management to review and assess all developer accesses. It also provides
various metrics for different organizations on a regular basis.
The front-end is built using Perl, CGI and html and supported by various
batch jobs developed in Perl & KSH using Sybase database.
Contribution:
. Support and maintain all application processes using Autosys.

Project: Portfolio Management Guide (MG)
Description: Application managers and their teams use MG to guide them with
various changes and project life-cycle notifications for their
applications. There are different alerts that are generated, like SDLC
alerts, application wellness alerts, scheduled jobs and development project
alerts reminding users of important events in their ongoing projects. There
is a built-in data collection utility that's used for creating tasks and to-
do items for these alerts. It can also be used for creating surveys to get
feedback from the organization regarding any process migrations, releases
or the mandatory Required Absence from work.
The system has a front end developed using Perl and JavaScript to view all
the information. It has utilities to do information searching based on
complex search algorithms and text data given for search. The application
was developed using Perl, KSH and Sybase.
Contribution:
. Created and managed primary data base objects such as Tables, Views,
Indexes, Triggers and Stored Procedures.
. Resolve issues for application users with alerts and data collection
utility
. Develop and support enhancements to handle changes to data feeds
. Design and develop database tables and stored procedures
. Provide overnight support for application processes and issues

. Extensive use of T-SQL, Java/J2EE and UNIX shell scripts
. Development of Test cases, Testing, implementation & performance
tuning
. Created T-SQL queries and fixing issues in existing queries and re-
writing existing SP in Sybase.
. Involved in enhancements and maintenance activities including
performance tuning, rewriting of stored procedures for code
enhancements and modifying target tables.
. Created Perl packages and modules for data handling and manipulation.
. Scheduled and maintained batches using CRON TAB.
