Computer Operator – March 2008 to December 31 2009– Epic Management LP

Responsible for running scheduled & requested jobs in a Unix environment,

printing & distributing various reports & special forms, performing nightly

backups, maintaining documentation & monitoring the system, air conditioners &

alarms. I am also responsible for answering calls on the after-hours helpdesk &

assisting users myself or notifying oncall personell.

Computer Operator Sr- February 1995 to July 2007 - Children’s Hospital of

Orange County, Orange, CA. Debi Layton, Supervisor. Employed as the only full

time computer operator, I worked alone on the night shift assuming all of the

assigned duties & responsibilities of the position, including nightly backups, data

file transfers & large amounts of printing. I also assisted my supervisor in

developing operational procedures & documentation. In addition, I was

responsible for answering overnight helpdesk calls & correcting hardware &

software issues myself or assisting on call technicians & programmers in

correcting the issues. I also assisted the Siemens system programmers to

transition our FMS operating system to the automated AnyQueue system. After

the transition, in addition to my operational duties, I shared my time between

assisting the daytime helpdesk answering trouble calls & working as a desktop

technician, installing equipment & assisting users with hardware & software

problems.

Computer Operator Lead/Night Shift Supervisor - January 1988 to August

1994 -The Daily News, Woodland Hills, CA. Rose Fajardo, Supervisor.

Responsible for supervising the work of 2-3 operators overnight & overseeing

that all work is done correctly & in a timely manner. Responsible for making sure

that all operators on my shift followed all standard procedures & for giving any

special directives when necessary. In addition, I assisted as an operator

wherever I was most needed, especially when we were short-handed. I reported

any problems or concerns to the day shift supervisor during the shift turnover .
