setting. I interpret all of the patients needs and to help staff and doctors communicate.

I worked both reception and as an assistant. My responsibilities included: rooming patients,

taking weights, temperature, brief history, answering multi-line phones, preparing files, filling

prescriptions, assisting doctors and techs as needed, administering vaccines, bathing and

grooming, kennels, and cleaning.

This was my first job in a veterinary setting. I was originally hired as animal care staff then six

months later promoted to train for veterinary assistant. My responsibilities included caring for all

patients under the hospitals care, medical supplies inventory, preparing the surgery room and

surgery utensils, filling prescriptions, assisting the doctor and technicians with exams and some

dentals, and grooming cats and dogs.

As an animal care staff my duties were to care for all residing animals, cleaning the animals

living areas, and helping to socialize feral pets. I often transported animals to and from the
