Duties

Attain competency in operations and maintenance of pharmacy equipment

i ncluding Pxyis 4000, Baxa TPN compounder, and WinPak 4.2a4U pre-packing

m achine

Maintain records that associate with regular pharmacy operations including

batch, refrigeration, crash cart, pre-packing, and compounding logs.

Answer the telephone and provide assistance to satisfy any and all needs

Issue and charge f loor stock and supplies to departments, maintain and adjust

i nventory as needed especially after outdating medications, debit/ credit patient

accounts as needed for returns and prn medications.

Assist the pharmacist in the dispensing of medications, i.e. order entry of

physician orders and filling those physician orders to include the reconstituting

of medications if required.

Prepares parenteral medications under the verification of a pharmacist to

i nclude large and small volume IV solutions and batches, antibiotics, and

hyperalimentaion solutions.

Refill, rotate, and maintain Pyxis Medstations stock and deliver batch
