PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Electrical Project Engineer/Construction Project Manager

T&K Industrial Design and Technical Services at ALCOA power plant and G&W

Engineers, Inc., 4/93-4/02

Project Engineer from inception to completion of multiple concurrent

construction projects. Start up and troubleshooting associated with

upgrading electrical power and control equipment for three 130 megawatt,

coal fired boilers and steam driven generation turbines in Rockdale, TX.

Engineered and managed maintenance and improvement projects for a TXU/Alcoa

co-owned 138KV substation as well as several panel board installation and

replacement projects in a 13.8 KV substation.

Designed communication equipment upgrades for an aluminum smelter plant.

Estimated and engineered electrical renovations and installations of

distribution equipment and substations, 480V motor control centers and

process control instrumentation primarily for the ALCOA bauxite processing

plant and gas turbine power generation units in Point Comfort, TX.

Other projects included: Water and wastewater treatment plants for

Austwell, Seadrift & Bloomington, TX; Baseball Complex Lighting for Ganado,

TX; Main Street and Town Square Park improvements for Gonzales, TX;

Beachfront parks for Austwell and Seadrift, TX.

Accomplishment - Successfully started three 130MW generators with new

electrical distribution and control systems on time and within budget.

Project Engineer Atkinson Industries; Pittsburg, KS, 6/08-Present

Engineering support for electrical distribution and control equipment

installed in custom walk-in power distribution centers.

Specification and design of electrical distribution, lighting, HVAC,

annunciation, fire alarm equipment and other building utilities in

accordance with local building codes and the National Electrical Code.

Work closely with contractors and all operation's crafts to fabricate high

quality industrial walk-in enclosures for use in substations domestically

and internationally.

Accomplishment - Designed and managed the production of many substation

control buildings including one to be shipped to Kuwait, using European

voltages and devices.

6/08

Project engineering support for manufacturing plant improvement projects;

including electrical engineering, material specification, equipment layout

and project start up.

Estimate material and labor costs and bid projects.

PLC programming, VFD programming and calibration of control equipment.

Accomplishment - Designed and programmed, along with many other pieces of

equipment in the project, a 500HP mixer driven by a VFD communicating with

a PLC and Panelview over Ethernet.
