Combs, Austin, TX (January 2008-Present)
Campaign Director (February 2010-Present)
Managed all aspects of the Comptroller's re-election campaign including
employees, finances and public relations. Developed a comprehensive,
statewide campaign plan including sign distribution, fundraising,
endorsements, social media and constituent relations working successfully
within strict deadlines.
? Traveled extensively with Comptroller Combs to develop and maintained
relations with constituents statewide.
? Managed successful statewide campaign and assisted in overall efforts
to raise $4.6 million in campaign contributions
? Organized and directed campaign strategy including a timeline,
fundraising objectives, annual newsletter content, monthly and annual
budget analysis.
? Hired and managed professional and volunteer staff; worked hand in
hand with consultants, association directors and staff at the state
office to insure campaign solidarity.
Special Projects Director (July 2009-January 2010)
Managed and maintained all aspects of the campaign public relations from
drafting social media to preparing for a press conference. Was project
manager of the complete redesign of the campaign website. Served as the in-
office liaison for meetings with campaign consultants.
? Orchestrated the overhaul of the campaign website for the re-election
campaign while working side by side with the web designers and various
consultants to reach a coherent brand and message.
? Coordinated all aspects of the re-election campaign press conference
including the contents of the press packet and location.
Office Manager (June 2008-June 2009)
Interviewed, hired and trained interns. Kept precise financial records, cut
payroll and paid taxes while using QuickBooks. Successfully prepared and
filed several Texas Ethics reports and one Personal Financial Statement for
the Texas Comptroller.
? Managed $4.6 million in campaign finances and served as in office
accountant; creating a campaign budget, executing payroll and paying
taxes, orchestrated large scale mailers from the final content editing
to the print house and distribution and solved various IT technical
issues.
Grassroots Assistant (January 2008-June 2008)
Served as the right hand man to the Grassroots Director. Cleaned up
database records and files. Conducted campaign research and presented a
Coalition Outreach Plan to the campaign. Designed numerous types of
Grassroots campaign gear.
? Researched and drafted a diverse, statewide Coalition Outreach Plan
that included the organization's mission statement, contact
information and main demographic, designed various campaign literature
and reorganized the campaign office in preparation for the 2010 cycle.

Advertising Intern
Contributed to and edited letters to prospective clients. Cold-called
prospective clients on various advertising offers. Updated the magazine
database using Magazine Manager.
