Responsibilities:
. Oversee the procurement, distribution,
transportation, and sales of pharmaceutical drugs
and products to major healthcare providers and
pharmacies throughout the Intermountain West.

(PKMS) to control and maintain accurate inventory

efficiency. Recently directed and helped the
facility obtain VAWD certification (Verified
Accredited Wholesale Distributor with the National
Pharmacy Association).
. Work closely with the Drug Enforcement Agency and
FDA to insure all procedures and regulations are
closely followed in the distribution of
pharmaceuticals to hospitals and pharmacies.
Recently had a perfect audit from the Salt Lake
Office DEA and Corporate Compliance.
. Prepare, monitor, and maintain a 26 million dollar
a year budget. Approve all account payables and
capital expenditures.
. Routinely make customer visits, attend customer
quarterly business reviews, direct and work
closely with BDM's, account managers, and approve
all new and renewed sales contracts. Work with
customers to address issues, concerns, and
continual process improvements.
. Manage all avenues of transportation of product to
our customers utilizing LTL, UPS, Fed-X, couriers,
and air transportation in the event of life saving
drugs. Review and negotiate all transportation
(RFP's) costs and contracts both inbound and
outbound.
. Coordinate and manage all project requirements and
product launches.
2003-2008 JC Penney Logistics-Spanish Fork, Utah
Major Distribution/Transportation Operations Manager
Responsibilities:
. Started up the operations for this 500,000 square
foot state of the art JC Penney flow through
distribution center.
. Direct and supervise 400 associates in the
distribution of retail merchandise to 55 JC Penney
stores throughout the Western U.S.
. Develop and insure that all standard operating
procedures are implemented and adhered too.
. Monitor production (KPI's), accuracy, quality, and
value added services.
. Oversee all safety and human resource functions and
insure compliance.
. Approve all capital expenditures and purchasing for
the entire facility.
. Prepare, monitor, and maintain a 20 million dollar
a year budget.
. Monitor volume and volume mixes to insure proper
staffing requirements and efficiency.
. Oversee all manager, supervisor, and associate
development and training. Provide timely and
accurate communications to our customer to insure
integrity, respect, and trust.
. Manage and review Sarbanes -Oxley requirements.
. Oversee Human Resource, facility maintenance, IT,
and security/LP departments to insure maximum
utilization of equipment and systems to support
operational goals.
. Manage all inventory processes and systems to
insure complete merchandise control,

annual Physical Inventories.
. Wrote, maintained, and updated all Standard
Operating Procedures for JC Penney Logistics as
well as provided a weekly review and analysis of
production data for all thirteen US facilities to
the Vice President of Logistics.

2000-2003 Cerro Copper Products-Cedar City, Utah
Western Region General/Tramsportation Manager
. Responsibilities: Started up the operations for
this 280,000 square foot copper tube manufacturing
and distribution facility.
. Directed and supervised 200 employees in the
manufacturing, packaging, distribution, and
transportation of copper water tubing for the
Western U.S. and Canada to customers.
. Directed the production of copper tubing based on
customer historical sales data and current
inventory levels. Utilized lean manufacturing
processes.
. Implemented lean manufacturing and MRP. Supervised
all aspects of transportation such as scheduling,
routing, loading, and contract rate negotiations
for flatbed, truckload, and LTL.
. Implemented a WMS and ERP system to track and
maintain accurate inventory control (DSI).
. Supervised the purchasing and receiving for the
entire facility. Recruited, interviewed, and hired
all personnel for the facility.
. Administered payroll, benefits, workers
compensation, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, and unemployment for
the facility.
. Prepared and conducted management and hourly
employee evaluations/reviews.

conflict resolution.

. Also responsible for another fifty thousand square
foot facility in Kent, WA and oversaw all of its
operational, budget, and transportation needs.

. Responsibilities: Organized and directed the daily
operations of a 1.3 million square foot retail
distribution center with a work force of 600
people.
. Supervised the loading, scheduling, and dispatching
of over 80 store truckloads per day.
. Coordinated loads and drivers between five other
regional distribution centers to increase asset and
driver utilization.
. Supervised all distribution, dispatch, and drivers
in the above duties. Managed the fleet maintenance
department to insure proper equipment maintenance
and D.O.T compliance.
. Managed all areas of safety department such as
driver D.O.T compliance, OSHA, Right to Know,
injury prevention, and accident/injury
investigation and reconstruction.
. Worked closely with local, state, and federal law
enforcement agencies regulating the transportation
industry.
. Responsible for overseeing for all human resource
functions such as payroll, benefit administration,
worker compensation, LTD, STD, ADA, FMLA, EEOC, I-
