Responsibilities
To provide 1st and 2nd line support to engineers in telephone exchanges nationwide
providing customers with ADSL, ensuring that the network is restored to service giving
optimum availability to customers
To delay customer orders in CSS (Customer Service Database) and raise additional
tasks using Clarify CRM, once a broadband circuit failed to synchronize with the server or
dial tone was not detected on the exchange side of the MDF ( Main Distribution Frame)
after it had been jumpered through the ADSL, equipment
To use a range of diagnostic tools to help aid in troubleshooting and fixing circuits. TAM
(Test Access Matrix) equipment installed between the MDF and DSLAM used to provide
remote access facilities on broadband circuits for testing towards both the customer and
into the network. ETAM ( Exchange Tam) supplied by UTEL, equipment installed in the
exchange and FTAM ( Frame Tam) supplied by TYPO, equipment installed on the MDF

accessing circuit statistics/ raw data via the IMS and proviso.
