Skills Overview
Photography
My work with photography has ranged from simple black and white image development solely with a
camera to complex image manipulation using various digital tools to utilizing the camera as a tool for
mathematical interpretation of visual information.
At St. Stephens Episcopal Church I photograph events and general group activities of young people
creating images for editorial, promotional and artistic purposes. I am developing my own business in
August I photographed a wedding, and have been photographing private portraiture since. In my current
job, I work with a 4x5 view camera utilizing a scan back to take hi res shots of paintings in a studio for
digital reproduction.
Printing And Color
For the past year I have been developing skills with color management and workflows with relation to
digital photography and digital printing on wide format Epson printers. I have established systems for
accurate and streamlined color reproduction, from original painting to print.
Art Experience at Reed
I attended Reed College as a Studio Art major. My senior thesis focused on creating digital interactive
works which entailed using many digital tools merging classical photography, sculpture and
drawing/painting with new media. I learned to utilize programming for both direct use in my art and to
create my own tools.
