Sales Representative: Sold job lot paper to printers and publishers. Job
lot paper sales is the art of substitution having knowledge of regular line
paper and knowing what paper that we have is comparable sometimes at a 50%
savings to the printers helping to make a marginal profit print job into a
good profit maker. I got to know lots of printers in town. My territory was
Los Angeles and Orange counties.

Production/Sales: Started out in "Process Management Dept." teaching new
owners of our printing duplicators/ presses how to set up and run the
equipment to manage a quick print shop including at the time the newly
introduced Itek plate maker system and the A.B.Dick printing presses. I
later moved up to the sales department selling the full line of A.B.Dick
equipment, 4 different size printing presses, photo copy machines, paper
folders, spirit duplicators and supplies such as inks, plate and press
washes, plates, chemical development materials and lots of paper, probably
over 100 items. I specialized in order reorder systems to corporations in
mid town Manhattan territory with the Empire State Bldg. being in the
center of my area. I would start canvassing at the top floor of the Empire
State Bldg. and work my way down to the bottom in a few months. It was good
on very cold days.
