Experience:
• Quality Health (2010-2010)
Hired on in February of 2010, I worked the evening shift at Quality Health and often
worked dayshift as well as a CNA. While there I obtained on the job training and
valuable on-hand experience on the procedures and protocol needed to perform the
expected duties required of a CNA. I was recently one of several released from the
position due to over-staffing and a shortage of hours on April 14, 2010.
• Ritz Carlton of Amelia Island (2009-2010)
I worked in the “Turndown Department”, though I started with the Ritz Carlton in their
Housekeeping Department, before deciding that I wanted to begin school. Once I
switched positions I was there from May, 2009 while working to obtain my CNA
certifications.
• Yulee Baptist Church (2008-2009)
I worked with Yulee Baptist in their daycare facility. I was in charge of the infants and
toddlers as well as helping with extra-curricular activities. I left the church in ’09 due to a
cut in hours and because an opportunity at the Ritz had presented itself.
• Goody’s (2009-2009)
Also a seasonal position, I worked as a cashier for Goody’s during their “Going Out of
Business” sales. This was a temporary position since the company was in fact closing
their doors. I was also employed at Yulee Baptist Church during this time.
• Best Buy (2008-2008)
I was hired on with Best Buy as a seasonal employee during Christmas of ’08. I worked
as a cashier and on the floor as a Sales Associate doing such jobs as stocking, customer
service, and front facing merchandise. At the end of the season I was released as there
were no full-time positions available for my position.
• Shoney’s (2007-2008)
I started working at Shoney’s during the end of my senior year of high school as a server.
I worked there for another six months after my graduation in May of ‘08 before I took a
position at Best Buy due to better hours and pay.
Skills/Awards:
.
I am extremely motivated and driven. I am flexible, and experienced far
beyond my age. I am a very quick learner. In most cases if I have never done something I
can figure it out on my own, and if I cannot then you only have to show me once. I have
extremely good people skills and always strive to provide excellent customer service at
any cost. Mostly I am dependable. I go out of my way to make sure that the job is done
the right way and am always there when it counts.
I have received a number of customer commendations from my previous employments as
well as some from my employers. I have never had a complaint to date for any reason
regarding my professionalism, quality of service or work, or communication with a
customer.
During my classes for my CNA certifications I also helped a family with the
responsibilities of taking care of their father, a 67 year old stroke victim with little to no
use of his right side extremities. Because of this experience I have received direct hands-
on experience with residents such as the ones in every day facilities such as retirement
communities and nursing homes.
