. Helped to increase the count in Census 2010 in four (4) Western
Maryland counties by providing support to local complete count
committees (LCCC)
. Built a database of community contacts that will be useful for future
outreach efforts by government agencies.
. Conducted a needs assessment of the poverty stricken census tracts in
Western Maryland counties, which can help inform decision making
processes for the region.
. Helped to garner support and interest in Plan Maryland- the statewide
planning initiative by making emails, mailings and phone calls to
stakeholders
. Conducted focused interviews with minority or representatives of
minority groups to assist the State in acquiring input from all
populations across Maryland.
. Edited and created maps using ArcGIS Desktop 9.3; which were used for

Information System) which were used at a community kick-off meeting
for road improvements.
. Worked closely with the project manager and calculated level of
service (LOS) values for various transportation modes in an area in
Takoma Park Maryland. These LOS values helped shape recommendations
for improvements along several road segments.
. Performed and analyzed traffic patterns and conducted traffic counts,
which also led to recommendations for improving pedestrian and cyclist
safety in another area of Takoma Park, Maryland.

. Worked with Baltimore City Recreation and Parks department, and
distributed a user survey among the surrounding neighborhoods .
. The results of the survey were collected and analyzed, existing park
programs were also analyzed and a report summarizing the processes,
and recommendations for making improviments was submitted to the
department, which applauded the report as necessary.
. ArcGIS Desktop was used to show the spatial arrangement of park users.
