Took new 12 to 48TB 1U storage product from inception through design,

coding and unit test to 'waiting for real hardware' stage. Made firmware

dynamic to support multiple product definitions of 3.5" or 2.5" disks.

Added support for FW download to Flash and full SCSI-SES. Product used PMC-

Sierra SAS/SATA Expander (MIPS) with ThreadX and incorporated custom SGPIO

and CPLD download and IIC devices for Flash, temperature, voltage and

current sensing. Developed in C and Green Hills Multi JTAG. Used Finisar

SAS/SATA analyzer to verify bus operation.

Developed release support applications and host support application for

test and OEM customer use.

Designed and implemented Linux daemon providing abstraction layer between

TCP sockets and Siemens SoftNet S7 (SAPI S7). Used in Container

Management System to translate BACNET to SoftNet to a PLC controlling

environmental functions. Developed using C and VirtualBox / CentOS.

Redesigned and enhanced firmware (C code on ARM) for heater blade used for

thermal / load testing of racks in containers. Use of heater blade allowed

cheap full power testing and easy test duplication.
