URS Corporation - Senior Project Manager

Dates: 02/08 to present - Washington D.C.

Mr. Gomez has over 15 years of combined professional experience and is

currently a member of FEMA's National Technical Review (NTR) team, the

Infrastructure Protection (IP) team, the Mitigation Assessment Team (MAT)

and significantly contributes to the practice of national emergency

response efforts for URS. Mr. Gomez is responsible for the management and

development of architectural hazard mitigation systems and strategies.

The findings are than researched, tested and implemented as hazard

mitigation standards to minimize the adverse effects of storms. Mr. Gomez

expertise includes the preparation of damage assessments, forensic

analysis, risk vulnerability assessments and cost estimates. Other

responsibilities include writing resiliency reports on critical

infrastructure key resources (CIKR) for residential, commercial,

industrial and institutional projects throughout the USA.

FLUOR - Senior Project Manager

Dates: 09/04 through 02/08 - Baton Rouge, LA.

Mr. Gomez provided architectural systems project management expertise to

the Public Assistance (PA) recovery efforts for Hurricanes Katrina and

Rita under FEMA (DR-1603 and DR-1607). During his tenure, he planned and

executed overall emergency response efforts related to property damage

assessment, cost estimating, and rehabilitation. Mr. Gomez assessed and

managed over $250M in damages to building infrastructure systems owned by

the City of New Orleans, the University of New Orleans and the Orleans

Parish Criminal Sheriff's Office (OPSCO). Projects include penal

facilities, judicial centers, health facilities and educational

institutions. Other project types include energy, electrical, solar,

petroleum & natural gas, water and wastewater systems, telecommunication

systems, IT, and physical security.

SCOTIA BANK - Manager of Real Estate Operations

Dates: 05/00 through 09/04 - Toronto, Canada/San Juan, PR

As Manager of Real Estate Operations, Mr. Gomez managed Scotia Bank

facility operations throughout the Caribbean. He effectively executed

business development efforts for existing commercial bank operations and

made recommendations for Leasehold Improvements. Job duties included due

diligence, site selection, lease negotiations, historic preservation and

tenant improvements in coordination with property Landlord's throughout

Puerto Rico. Provided leadership and analyzed construction cost saving

strategies, and developed overall real estate loss prevention methods to

support the bank's risk management efforts. Mr. Gomez acted as the

owner's representative on all Real Estate Operations. He coordinated the

bank's A/E, MEP related tasks including the procurement of all SME and

consultants to ensure timely and on budget project execution.

TSKP ARCHITECTS - Architectural Project Manager

Dates: 3/91 through 05/00 - Hartford, CT.

Mr. Gomez managed the architectural activities including A/E design

development, construction document preparation, owner representation and

contract negotiation of diverse type multimillion dollar projects. Mr.

Gomez's design expertise was crucial in executing higher education

projects, transportation system projects including the Seoul Express

train station and other facilities with construction budgets between

$150,000 and $280 Million. Major clients served included Federal and

State government as well as commercial and institutional projects

throughout the U.S.A., Asia and Europe. Mr. Gomez successfully defined

the projects' scope of work, interpreted, organized, executed and

coordinated project assignments. He conducted visual inspections of

construction processes, created photographic & written reports,

coordinated & scheduled all building and subcontractors, prepared payment

certifications, and headed weekly meetings with engineers, clients and

contractors to ensure progress and timely project completion. Mr. Gomez

has extensive knowledge of National and International building codes and

industry regulations.

Horacio Diaz y Associados - Architectural Draftsmen

Dates: 6/87 through 3/91- Hato Rey, Puerto Rico

Under the direction of Don Horacio Diaz, Mr. Gomez produced hand drawn

construction documents for various projects including judicial centers,

health facilities and educational institutions. Work activities included

drafting A/E documents for architectural, mechanical, plumbing and

structural construction documents in collaboration with SME consultants.

Projects completed include Centro Judicial de Guayama, Inter-American

University at Bayamon and various Public Housing projects throughout Puerto
