individuals in the development of disaster recovery plans,

support. Duties consist of supporting most operating

2003, Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7; as well as networks
running Cisco and HP switches, Cisco and Juniper routers,

responsibilities of a quick service restaurant. Duties
included the overseeing of day to day operations, personnel

E.W. Scripps is one of the largest media companies in the
world owning many well known networks such as HGTV, DIY,

newspapers and gradually moved to broadcast television and

UNIX Systems Administrator

Sole UNIX administrator in charge of 40+ UNIX & Linux
servers. Duties included installing, patching,
maintaining, and upgrading Solaris 8, 9 and 10 and Debian
and Red Hat Linux servers that support real time mission
critical company wide applications. Fieldstone is a large
mortgage company that offers non-conforming mortgages in 42

Network Administrator

Network Administrator in support of 25+ end users and 15+
servers. Duties consisted of maintaining our IT
infrastructure including our Cisco routers and switches,
Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, and Red Hat) and Windows (2000 and
2003) servers, and maintaining backups. Network
applications supported include Goldmine Sales and
Marketing, Quickbooks, and Microsoft Exchange. Platforms
supported are Dell and IBM.
Network Engineer
1/2001 - 1/2005 University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN
Network Engineer in a team of approximately 15 people
providing network connectivity to the University of
Tennessee, Knoxville. During this period, our main task
was a project by the name of Volnet. The goal of this
project was to upgrade the entire UTK network from a
FDDI/Fast Ethernet backbone to a Cisco switched and routed
gigabit network. This included design, implementation, and
replacement of all legacy hardware. Secondary duties
consist of managing an HP Openview Network Node Manager
Server and being the resident Windows/Solaris/Linux Systems
Administrator, maintaining group owned machines.

The System Administrator solely responsible for the
administration for an Apache web and Q-Mail email servers
running on Debian Linux. My responsibilities include
installing, configuring and maintaining both the Linux

running Q-Mail as the MTA and Squirrelmail utilizing
Dovecot IMAP/POP server for end user access.

providing Tier 3 support to approximately 300 servers and
8000 users at any given time for the Air Force Pentagon
Communications Agency (AFPCA). Responsibilities include NT
and Exchange administration, maintenance, and
troubleshooting. May 2000- Oct 2000 Network
Engineer/Systems Administrator in a team of 6 providing
Tier 2/3 support to 250 plus user network for the Under
Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, Pentagon,
Arlington, VA. Responsibilities include installing,
upgrading, and maintaining multiple types of routers and
switches. Performed general network administration
(NT4.0/Exchange5.5) and hardware troubleshooting and
maintenance. Managed VPN (Cisco Secure VPN), and thin
client (Terminal Server/Citrix Metaframe) solution for
remote access to the network.
