EXPERIENCE
I am the operations manager. I oversee all the human resource functions for
my branch, schedule deliveries of materials such as pipe and other fire
sprinkler-related products, I work with the fabrication branch to make sure
the customers receive the material on time, and I track quotes and keep
inventory up-to-date. Product purchasing, customer sales and quote creation
all fall into my list of responsibilities as well. Mainly, I handle the day-
to-day operations of the branch.
2002 to 2005 - Target
I began as an overnight stocker, eventually becoming overnight supervisor.
It was a Level 3 position within the corporation. I oversaw the off-loading
of nightly incoming shipments, managing a staff of no less than 25
employees. We pulled stock from the backroom and filled shelves. At the
same time I worked with customers and handled cashiering when needed. In
between stocking and supervising, I was the shipping and receiving
supervisor, a Level 2 position. That entailed dealing with the receiving a
goods, working with vendors and processing outgoing stock.
1998 to 2002 - Shared Network Services
I began working with Shared Network Services, an Internet service provider,
as a data entry processor. Soon after that, I became the administrative
assistant for the customer service manager, dealing with payroll, bonuses
and other staffing issues. I managed the collections, ran the regulatory
department and handled the majority of incoming calls.
