My Primary role with Agfa is working with the sustaining engineering team

to address issues that are discovered in our cardiovascular reporting

suite. It is my responsibility to develop an effective solution and ensure

that it is implemented in a future release candidate. This role allows me

to have extensive exposure to Classic ASP, ASP.Net, C#, Java, JavaScript,

XML, SQL and Oracle

Because Agfa is considered a Medical Devices Manufacturer, we are subject

to FDA Regulations. This requires me to occasionally develop a short term

solution to an issue that is discovered in the field. This solution is

deployed as a "Hotfix" to the affected sites until a future release

candidate is published.

Aside from my role as a sustaining engineer, I had worked on enhancements

to our current release as well as next generation releases. The next

generation of our cardiovascular suite will implement .Net 3.0 and 3.5

Framework and make extensive use of WPF, ASP.NET and C#.

I was responsible for migrating a Filemaker database over to

MySql. This database served as the back-end database for an

engineered quotation system for mechanical seals.

Designed and developed a complete plant reliability analysis suite

for use in the Pumping industry. This application included an

engineered quotation system that allowed sales to accurately quote

a mechanical seal that not only replaced the worn seal but

increase the machine up-time hours.
