WORK EXPERIENCE
Software Test Engineer, Synergex International Inc
Gold River, CA. Jan 2004 to Dec 2008
At Synergex, I provided testing and evaluation of the company's Windows
Software Development Environment called Synergy (based on the Slick Edit
shell). I reviewed Software development documents, to identify upgrades and
changes in to their software code. Then, developed test procedures to
exercise the changes, and provide feedback to the Software Develop
Engineers to correct any detected bugs. I also supported Synergex's two
person IT Dept. They used me to augment the IT shop's ability to provide
timely repairs and maintenance to their desktop assets, and maintained
software configurations for their desktops as well. I was laid off from
this position in December of 2008 when the company did some belt tightening
to their staffing when the software market went flat.
. Evaluated Software upgrades and patches.
. Provided Desktop Support resolving user problems with computer
configurations, and Microsoft Office, and other development
applications (.net).
. Used Symantec Ghost to create PC system images, maintained a library

Help Desk Coordinator, Sutter Roseville Medical Center
TEKSystems Inc. Oct 2003 to May 2004
This position was a 6-month contract I with TEKSystems to provide Help Desk
support to Sutter Health's Roseville Medical Center. Entering this position
was a big challenge to me professionally, I had very little background
supporting Healthcare systems. I had to assimilate a wide range of
subsystems that I had to support. I made the transition quickly, and within
a week was supporting the client's 1200+ desktops, and over 200 printers,
six mainframe systems plat formed on HP, DEC, and IBM AS400 Servers, and
Dell Windows Servers.
. Quickly assimilated complex network infrastructure.
. Resolved user problems in Windows as well as mainframe/terminal
interfaces.
. Used Symantec Ghost to configure new PC systems to roll out e-patient
systems.
. Developed quick reference documentation to be used by other desktop

Ciber Inc. May 2000 to July 2003
Hired as a computer setup and support technician in May of 2000, I provided
support to 500+ users working at a central and multiple remote sites, for
the Sacramento County District Attorney's office. In December of 2000 I was
promoted to the Network Administration section, and was tasked to be the
Project Manager for the installation, and migration, of the DA's Office to
Microsoft's Exchange 5.5, from a Dec Vax based e-mail system Then served as
the E-Mail administrator for 3 years with no down time.

. Responsible for creating master Ghost Images for various hardware

This was a night job I worked in addition to my daytime position at
McClellan AFB (see next experience block). In this position, I provided
telephone support to the 7,000+ customer base of this state wide ISP
(Internet Service Provider). In addition to providing Tech Support on the
phones, I was responsible for creating and updating user account
information as well as monitored both UNIX and NT Servers functions.

Space and C3 Div., McClellan AFB, Sacramento, CA 1995 to 2000
In this position I acted as the Information Systems POC (Point Of Contact)
for all IT problems in the Engineering Branch I worked in. I was tasked to
develop and maintain the Branch's computer and network modernization
program. I responded to all user problems, as well as any hardware upgrades
and replaced any defective components on a wide range of IBM, Zenith and
Compaq desktop computers.

Engineering Branch.
