IMI International, Inc., West Bloomfield, Michigan.

In the first year of business, my first goal was in recruiting excellent candidates, conducting interviews, and selling candidates to

Chrysler or automotive suppliers (customers). Growth exceeded original goals resulting in expanding my contracting services to

other services and industries (biomedical, building/design, government, and non-profit). Began placing engineers and

management in permanent positions located nationally.

Executive Recruiter 2001 –2010.

Oversaw the day-to-day operations that changed daily; kept the bookkeeping accurate and up-to-date, recruited on the internet,

colleges and word of mouth, scheduled meetings with potential decision makers of new customers, and collaborated with design

firms to implement a company website and logo. Negotiated salaries for employees, called on new prospects to expand customer

base, attended chamber meetings and industry shows/exhibits, and interacted with other business leaders. Entertained customers

(lunches, dinners, sporting events) and was responsible for merit raises, employee reviews, and terminations if necessary.

• Managed HR assistant and implemented a successful employee retention program (weekly lunch visits, newsletter articles

which spotlighted an employee every month, calling in payroll hours, and delivering pay checks to each employee). Also

hired two sales managers, a bookkeeper, a recruiting consultant, and a full-time recruiter.

• Recruited strong candidates through social networking sites, word of mouth, searches on job boards and our own internal

data base, attending job fairs.

• Providing lower costs to

customers while supplying top candidates resulted in growth that exceeded $1,300,000 in less than two years.

• Worked with internal

staff to provide employee support, hands on management/communications, rewards and recognitions which led to zero turn over,

earning “The Coolest Place to Work Award” from Detroit Crain’s publication.

• Honed in on interview

skills, writing of professional resumes and training staff to use these principals to provide top contracting personnel. This led to

several opportunities to fill open positions within Chrysler and Chrysler Financial.

• Maintained small

business attitude that resulted in many years of contracts being renewed with billion dollar customers.

Oxford Automotive, Inc., Troy, Michigan.

Upon my coming aboard, Oxford revenues were about $300,000,000. During my employment the company grew to over

$1,000,000,000 in less than five years. Personally received a wealth of experience especially in international acquisitions (most

of the growth was due to acquiring companies in Europe and Mexico). Effectively served as the main contact for all

communications, gaining invaluable knowledge of other countries and their cultures, which helped in the transitional phase after

we purchased the companies in other countries.

Director of Marketing & Communications, 1997 – 2001.

Managed corporate communications and marketing, directed all advertising (print, billboard, radio), wrote and/or approved

monthly press releases, managed staff responsible for corporate newsletter, handled administrative duties for trade shows, hired

cross-cultural training experts, released all corporate communications, and attended international trade/auto shows in Europe

and Mexico. Supervised placement of print media and billboard ads, and approved ad campaign design from the advertising

agency. Conducted weekly staff meetings, weekly meetings with the CEO and monthly meeting with Owners. Managed

advertising agencies in the US, England and France on Corporate Logo and Handbook, trade show exhibits, auto show booths,

brochures, sales literature and advertisements specific to that region.

• Expedited a very

successful ad campaign in media, radio and print resulting in several interviews and articles in the Wall Street Journal,

Automotive News and Automotive News Europe, Automotive International, WWJ, WJR, and Crain’s (Detroit, New York and

Cleveland). Managed all aspects of International Trade Shows, Automotive Events, Booth display at the Auto Show in Germany

and North America (Detroit).

• Developed and

implemented a new corporate communication plan that resulted in monthly press releases and monthly company newsletter

(translated and printed in 5 different languages).

• Supervised corporate

media overview of company product and services for CEO. This aided in selling the company ethics, services and product to new

management and employees. Hired translators and cross-cultural experts so message was sent correctly in respective countries.

• Negotiated vendor

contracts to stay under my advertising/marketing budget.

• Worked with Mexico

operations/employees and local PR firm to promote newly built state-of-the-art plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. Result – the

Governor of Mexico came to show respect and thank our company for providing many jobs and investing in Mexico. This

provided media attention but more importantly, much needed employee morale.
