This position is an integral part of the Hawaii Regional
Operations providing the system with critical air defense
data for the protection of a vital geographical area.
Provides early warning, surveillance, ground controlled
intercepts and identification function. Operates Aircraft
Control and Warning systems display equipment, interprets
radar scope presentation, displays information derived from
radar scope presentation, maintains data base files. Reads
and interprets raw radar and IFF/SIF information displayed on

Height Indicator. Functions as a Voice Teller/Recorder in
reading the display boards and conveying information by voice

Provides weather reports (RAREPS, Synoptic Observation) to
military and civilian weather facilities.
. Weapons Technician (20%)
Maintains current understanding of radar scope presentation,
monitors fuel and ammo state of controlled aircraft and
situation awareness of other airborne objects to provide
maximum safety. Coordinates mission requirements with
internal/external agencies, assist Air Weapons Controller.
Utilizes authentication material. Utilizes Air Navigation
Attack Computer to compute air mass problems and prepares
positioning aids during ground control intercept (GCI).
. Assistant Control Technician (20%)
Duties include maintaining station logs, monitoring and
responding to ground-to-ground and ground-to-air-to-ground
scramble and airborne orders, and coordination with other
agencies, executes Alert Systems Action, report/coordinates
equipment
outages/malfunction, utilize and operated COMSEC equipment
and material. Provides special weather data to the HIROCC
(Oahu) during adverse weather conditions.
