C & S Wholesale Grocers, Inc.: Security Manager / February 2010 - Present
Responsible for the security of the North Hatfield, South Hatfield &
Westfield facilities. Duties including supervising security staff, reduce
shrink of product, maintain seal compliance, ensure trailers are processed
in and out of the facilities appropriately using the Yard Management System
Software, perform investigations, surveillance, alarm systems, monitor for
theft, conduct physical security and product audits, access control,
digital camera system, maintaining an open line of communication with
management, maintain compliance with local and state agencies and the
safety and security of the employees and facilities.
Holyoke Medical Center: Security & Security Manager / September 1997 -
January 2009
As the Safety & Security Manager I was responsible for managing the daily
operations, supervising security staff, performing investigations and
ensuring a safe and secure environment for employees, patients and
visitors. I addressed safety and security issues in all areas, established
and revised administrative and department policies, submitted a operational
and capital budget, bi -annual risk assessments, completed annual
evaluations, maintained and preparedness fire drills and Hazard
Surveillance Tours, maintained department files, competencies, established
goals and objectives for all officers, stayed in compliance with D.P.H,
O.S.H.A. and Joint Commission, submitted security statistics to the
Environment of Care Committee which I was a member of including the Hazard
Vulnerability Committee and assisted in emergency preparedness for internal
& external disasters. I implemented and maintained the department's
digital camera, access control and report writing systems and also served
as the primary department's training instructor. I was also a "Working
Manager" where I performed the duties and responsibilities of a Security
Officer. Duties such as patient interventions, report writing, enforce
parking, patrols, respond to alarms, slip/falls, restraints, thefts,
vandalism, motor vehicle accidents, maintain posts, data entry, quality
customer service and maintain a high visibility and accessibility
throughout the hospital campus.

Special Police Officer I performed patrols, checks of town business's,
traffic details for town events, assisted full-time Police Officers when
needed and enforced Massachusetts General Law.

I served as a Reserve Police Sergeant for the Town of Granby. As a Reserve

I was in active duty.

disturbances, alarms, maintain the college switchboard and maintaining a
safe and secure environment.

for war or other conflicts. I performed a Parachutist, day & nighttime
