At this Walgreens I worked as a service clerk while cross training in the pharmacy. My job as a

service clerk was to ensure that our customers have great service. I worked at the cash register,

while handling phone calls from customers who needed help. Team work was very important at

Walgreens, this gets work done a lot faster and has a great work relationship with co-workers. In

the Pharmacy my job was to train as a pharmacy technician, I learned how to handle all the

important tasks that goes on in the pharmacy such as typing in prescription, solving patient’s

insurance rejection problems, filling prescriptions, communicating with doctors for medication

approval, and helping patients find the right over the counter medications, but most importantly

my main goal training in the pharmacy was to ensure that our patients receive the best service

that a pharmacy can offer because without friendly patients and customers there wouldn’t be any

good business.

At Long Beach Memorial, I work in the HIM(Heath Information Management Department). My

daily tasks are to ensure that every document of a patient’s records are in the order that it belongs

in and that every documents belong to the right patient following the HIPPA regulations. With

these documents I scan them to our network program making sure they are eligible and are stored

in the right type of document that they belong in. I am very knowledgeable with our patient

profile search programs such as KEANE, OnBase and Epic, I use these programs everyday to

scan or look up medical records for patients and doctors when they need a certain record. On

Fridays and Saturdays I work at the heath information management main front desk. At the front

desk my duties are to help doctors or nurses look for the correct charts or records so that they can

either sign or view a patients record. I also communicate with doctors or nurses on the phone

whenever they need information about a patients record or when they need to sign for all their

patient’s records. On random days I sometimes get picked by my manager to Audit the work that

everyone has done to make sure that every task of our job is done correctly so that we can ensure

doctors or nurses all patients are under their correct records. At Long Beach Memorial we take

great pride in our work, everyday we come to work with a great smile and motivated energy to

show that we really care about our job.

Computer Skills

Can operate any Windows 95 to Vista, Word, Excel, Power Point and familiar with pharmacy

computer programs or Hospital Patient Data Programs.

Personal

I am a friendly worker that everyone gets along with, I like helping people and giving great

service because the outcome of people’s reaction gives me a great feeling, and to know that my

service was very helpful to someone is very rewarding, and I also like to treat people as I would

like to be treated. I like to challenge myself by handling new tasks everyday because I look at it

in a way of learning something new. When I work I take my tasks seriously by perfectly

finishing them on time, this way I can work on other projects that needs to be done.
