Avineon, GIS Technician, QA/QC Manager August 2007 – August 2010
Oversaw visual and database quality analysis and control of 98 percent or above on numerous
projects, including a year and a half on a 2-year, $5.3 million conversion of Chicago’s potable
water system. Internal lead on water management project, performed extensive feature count
estimates in scoping for a bid, and executed and oversaw data conversion. Organized project data
and ensured quality assurance and quality control protocols were followed. Created
documentation, guides, and protocols, and assisted in the creation of auto-routines for use in
domestic and India offices.
MISource (Subcontractor used by Avineon), GIS Technician April 2007 – August 2007
Assisted with map interpretation and assignment of attribute information. Created guides and
protocols to increase project speed and accuracy.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, GIS Technician January 2006 – April 2007
Worked in the Marine Mammal Section creating cartographic maps of manatee distributional data
to be used in a Technical Report. Digitized both manatee synoptic and distributional survey data
into a GIS. Tracked Argos-tagged manatee movements through the use of Telnet, SAS, ArcView
3.3 and ArcGIS 9.1. Created manuals and protocols for future employees. Updated and created
new metadata through the use of SMMS, M3Cat, and MERMAid.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Intern October 2005 – January 2006
Worked with ArcGIS 9.0 in the Coastal and Marine Resource Assessment (CAMRA) section to
project new data and update boat ramp and marina data layers for Florida’s Middle Keys and
Brevard County.
