Position involved inspection of incoming and outgoing items,involving containers from U.S. Postal Service.

Containers consisted of plastic trays,cardboard,cardboard sleeves,and mailbags. Items were thoroughly

inspected for damage,height specifications,and other factors. Entered data on computer and used a hand-held

scanner. Approved items were shipped out while rejects were sent back to clerks for correction. Was

repeatedly praised by supervisors for doing good work,involving attention to details and taking initiative.

Postal Service did not renew contract,resulting in job losses at company.

Worked in temporary assignments in related fields.

February 2002-May 2004

Radio Shack Service Center

Greensboro,North Carolina

Position involved receiving and shipment of electronic items sent in by stores and/or customers.

Items were shipped by couriers and companies such as UPS and Fed Ex. Entered data on computer. After

items were received, technicians at the facility repaired items. Items then would be shipped back to

store/customer after repair. Job included checking items on sheets,making sure they were ready for shipment.

Left by mutual agreement with management after numerous changes at company.

September 1997-September 2001

Sears Repair Services

Greensboro,North Carolina

Worked as a receiver. Electronics,tools,and garden machinery were received for repair by technicians at the

facility. Later,only tools and garden machinery were received. In the summer of 2001, company announced

plans to relocate to Texas and ended their Greensboro receiving operations,resulting in job losses.
