OBJECTIVE
I am looking to gain a janitorial or custodial position. My work history
includes working for various large hotels, casinos and construction
companies. I am currently looking for a position that will allow me to work
at night. I have worked night shift before and find that shift to be
preferable. I am currently a student at Wyotech furthering my education by
gaining my certification in HVAC.
WORK EXPERIENCE
2003. The Claremont Rug Company
Oakland, California
Job Title: Floor Man
Duties: My duties included but were not limited to rug maintain ace on
rare rugs. This included cleaning, minor repair,
maintaining inventory in multiple locations and rug
movement and installation at various locations. I was
required to travel when necessary to client's homes for
placement of rugs they had purchased along with showing of
rugs to potential clients. I was also responsible for
maintaining the appearance of the store locations but for
public viewing and for the employee portions of the store.
My duties also included various office duties such as
filing, logging in and out of inventory and being available
for the owner and other management for multiple tasks on
demand. This position required me to deal directly with the
public. I was required to meet and interact with various
types of people that included a wide range from office
staff to multi-million dollars clients. This required me to
enter their homes for rug installation and maintenance. I
was a hard worker, I got along with coworkers always
got the job done.
2000. Peterson Construction
Kennesaw, Georgia
Job Title: Drywall Hangers & Framer
Duties: My duties included but were not limited to framing a building
with both wood and metal studs. I measured, cut and hung
drywall according to measurements. This required me to be
able to read blueprints as well as follow the direction of
the General Contractor. This also required me to work with
various tools, including power tools and the large
equipment that was needed to complete the project. After
learning the knowledge needed I was promoted to Lead
Carpenter. This promotion changed my duties to include
managing teams for 2-8 different men. I give them their
project assignments and made sure they were followed
precisely.

Job Title: Laborer
Duties: My duties included but were not limited to general labor work.
I followed direction and did what was needed to be done.
This included sweeping and cleaning job sites. These sites
included both residential projects and multiple commercial
projects. I learned the construction business from the
ground up. After proving myself as a hard worker and quick
learner, I was moved up to Drywall hanger. This position
allowed me to have a skilled trade that I could focus on.
1988-1989 Sands Hotel and Casino
Atlantic City, New Jersey
Job Title: Casino Porter
Duties: My duties included cleaning the bathrooms on the casino floor,
vacuuming the casino floor, wiping down slot machines,
cleaning the pit area and pit boss offices. This required
me to use various chemicals and machines. I was required to
wax and buff non-carpeted flooring once a week. I also had
to steam clean the carpeted areas once a week. I had a
great time working there as well.
1988. The Tropicana Hotel and Casino
Atlantic City, New Jersey
Job Title: Heavy Porter
Duties: My duties included rug cleaning, vacuuming, dusting
chandeliers, cleaning bathrooms and taking out trash. I had
to clean the employee's cafeteria, which consisted of
cleaning off tables, sweeping floors, mopping and buffing
floors.
