Covert Operations- Charlotte, NC

Designed/developed web-based, HIPAA-compliant medical application that

mobile caregivers used to input patients' vital information before going

into an insurance claims clearinghouse. Created an Invoice Generator

Application. Designed/developed web-based and client server health-care

application which allowed a health-care company to run its business

including accounts payables, account receivables, patient scheduling,

patient's electronic medical records, web-based online Certified Nursing

Assistance certification course. Installed/setup SQL Server 2000. Developed

and refined the 'logical design' so that it can be translated into a

specific data model. Mapped out the 'conceptual design/entity

relationships' for a planned database in outline and end-user business

processes/analysis. Controlled access permissions and privileges. During

the pre-deployment/testing stage of the web application, I applied

performance tuning and optimization to the database design creating and

using the necessary indexes/constraints. Other duties included: ensuring

that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning

correctly, capacity planning and replication, created and implement

maintenance plan for regular integrity checks and backups, applied Service

Packs and security patches on a regular basis. Technologies used were

Microsoft Active Server Pages, ASP.NET, Visual Basic, SQL Server 2000,

stored procedures, triggers, UDF (user defined functions)/ and Oracle 8i/PL

SQL. Retrieved dynamic XML data from SQL Server using Visual Basic to

SQL Server 2000 warehouse (read-only, historical, aggregated data).
