organization. The corporation operated laboratories, research, and service

centers in 11 locations in the U.S., Japan, and Europe. (Integrated

Genetics was purchased by Genzyme Corporation).

Reporting to the President and CEO, with a total staff of 26 and an

operating budget of $3 million per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial management of multi site medical testing organization.

Conversion of companywide billing and reimbursement system.

Preparation of P&L, balance sheet, budget, and forecast reporting.

Presentations to senior management and board of directors.

Structure and negotiate third party reimbursement contracts.

Significant accomplishments included:

In addition to managing the SEC reporting and compliance responsibilities

associated with a public company, significant contributions to increasing

the revenue and the operating profit of the company were accomplished

through reduction of operating cost by consolidation of laboratories and

reimbursement centers.

Revenue was increased through analysis and subsequent revisions in billing

and collection policies implemented with third party reimbursement clients

and insurance carriers.

Successfully completed acquisition of business competitor through

preliminary analysis, due diligence, initial proposal, and final

acceptance. Negotiations with investment bankers on the sale of IG to

majority stockholder resulted in increase, over initial offer, of $6.7

Converted manual accounting system to a companywide management information

system (ASK).

Developed initial standard product cost and absorption system.
