Work Experience
Independent Consulting (Floating Doc Shop, US Army, Sherriff’s Office)
Baton Rouge, LA. (01/2002- Present)
Computer Consultant
I have worked with various organizations in Louisiana as explained below.
The majority of these companies were using Win XP, Vista and Win 2007.
I helped with software and hardware setup, repair as far as hardware replacement of
power supplies, motherboard, memory, hard drives, processors, heat sinks, video
cards, cables and consistent software troubleshooting. I also setup their print devices
and any other accessories that consist with their jobs. Help the customers understand
how to use and navigate the system efficiently and help them save time. I helped
people with all types of IT issues from simple printer issues to software
reconfigurations. I have experience working on laptops and am Dell Certified.
On a needed basis, go to Camp Beauguard to help the IT techs with software and
hardware related issues on desktops with Dell Specifications and would give a
tutorial on what to look for when a Diode is blown on the motherboard, and many
other scenarios that they would encounter. I would also teach them what to look for
and determine if damage was accidental or intentional that way they can understand
whether or not to charge the soldier or get the work done if under warranty.
