divisions. The acquisition of Smiths Aerospace gave GE Aviation a broader

Global Commodity Manager - Travel and Freight

Heavily involved with travel and freight integration teams, completing

transition from Smiths to GE agreements and processes.

. To ensure continuity through transition, extended Smiths supplier

agreements as needed

negotiations or process changes and logged bottom-line synergy

SMITHS plc - AEROSPACE DIVISION - Loves Park, IL 2003-2007

Smiths plc is a $5 billion global technology company with numerous products

and divisions. Its Aerospace Division, sold to GE in 2007, represented

another $5 billion in revenue, and was a major competitor in electronic

controls and other aircraft component products.

communication methods, and drove travel and freight cost reductions of

. Outsourced freight payment and led on-line sourcing projects for less-

than-truckload, global heavyweight air and ocean, and corporate

merchandise for Smiths Aerospace US.

Invensys plc was a $15 billion global company with diverse divisions and

products formed by the merger of BTR and Siebe in 1999.

Division Logistics Manager (2001-2003)

Transportation Council Administrator

Managed carrier service and pricing negotiations for all modes of domestic

and international transportation and for outsourced freight payment

services at over 100 global facilities. Coordinated Relocation program

($850K annual) for Controls Division HR Departments. Involved with

supplier negotiations and internal implementation of corporate Travel and

leased vehicle programs. Directly responsible for transportation

management at all 40 Siebe Environmental Controls and Barber-Colman Company

facilities, supervising 5 full-time, 2 part-time, and 15 on-site contract

employees.

1971-1987

Held various positions in Corporate Transportation (traffic, travel,

fleet), with management, supervisory, and operational responsibilities

prior to acquisition by Siebe plc.

EDUCATION: Degree in Business Management from Rock Valley College, with

emphasis on Logistics. Continuing education included: Six-Step Strategic

Sourcing and Implementation, ISO Internal Auditing, Carrier Negotiations
