Disaster Recovery Solutions Consultant

This position required creating DR Solutions tailored to meet the

organizations recovery objectives. Upon completion of the recovery

solution, the information was then placed in a cost model that would

detail 5 years of TCO information for the application. This position

required coordination and information gathering with the applications

subject mater experts from the various business information organizations

along with coordinating installations to follow KP-IT's technical

infrastructure.

IBM-Disaster Recovery Management Service Line 07/05-04/2010

Advisory IT Architect

The key function of this position was project management supporting

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery services. Primary duties were

the creation and validation of BCP & DR plans for various companies across

the US and Canada. If a DR solution was not in place the creation of a

recovery solution tailored to meet the recovery objectives that were

generally outlined in a BIA. This position required creating and

maintaining a strategic partnership with business leaders to strategize,

define and implement needed BCP & DR plans and recovery methodologies to

effectively protect IT systems/infrastructure supporting the Company.

These recovery plans can be for a single critical application to

recovering an entire data center. Application testing of a large SAP

installation was a project required on several occasions. The SAP

installation verification included interface testing from various external

and internal sources as well coordinating the activities of the SAP basis

team for the recovery test effort. Project management methodology is

closely following in planning/executing an exercise of the disaster

recovery plans.

Senior Disaster Recovery Specialist, Project Manager

This position was responsible for implementation, validation and testing

of DR plans for the various business units within the company. This

required creating and maintaining a strategic partnership with business

leaders to strategize, define and implement needed DR plans to effectively

protect the business units IT systems. As a result of the Sarbanes-Oxley

act many business units were obligated to implement DR/BCP strategies and

plans to fulfill the certification requirements of this legal requirement.

. This position requires knowledge of multiple hardware platforms,

operating systems, development environments and the internal

coordination of activities pertaining to the DR plans.

. The position also requires project management and interpersonal

skills dealing with all levels of staff from executives to technical

staff to facilitate the creation and testing of the plans with the

various business units.

Due to consolidations of desktop resources, I served in a project

manager's capacity to facilitate several Disney Corporate IT consolidation

initiatives.

. Managed the migration of the Studio based MS Exchange servers to the

Disney Shared Services Exchange servers (MCSS). This project

consisted of migration the email facilities for 7700 users in various

studio facilities located all across the US and Canada. This project

required extensive coordination with multiple business units and

support teams across the entire Disney Organization. The project was

completed on time and on budget. This included the coordination and

scheduling with multiple business units and their executives.

. Co-Managed the server consolidation project for Studio IT. Personally

responsible for managing the relocation activities of 50+ servers to

the IPNS West data center from various Studio locations.

. Team leader in the migration of Novell based file and print to the

Corporate IT based MS file servers.

Senior Manager IT

. Started as a Project Leader then promoted to Project Manager, IT

Manager and Senior IT Manager.

. Managed the Technical Support department for this successful business

unit. My responsibilities included the technical support of the

AS/400, NT and UNIX systems, Call Center and Desktop management

(EUCS).

. Managing this department provided me with many diverse challenges and

opportunities to expand my personal experience level.

. During my time in this position, we were able to increase the

positive effect of the department's impact on the business units

support requirements.

. Responsible for maintaining the IT capital budget for the business

. Deployed a document management system giving the organization the

ability to go totally 'paperless' in customer claims processing. At

last check this system had over 21 million documents stored.

. This was a startup opportunity tasked with the implementation and

organizations 15 scouts located across the US, Canada, Central and

South America. Each scout had a laptop connected to the central
