Computer Operator

. Monitors enterprise production jobs to ensure completion.

. Provides production support and performs defined escalation procedures

for both application support and problem notification.

. Monitors critical physical infrastructure in the Data Center and

escalates any abnormalities to the on-call engineer and/or management.

. Schedules emergency maintenance, as needed.

. Maintains accuracy of enterprise resource planning and automated

scheduling systems, primarily SAP.

. Identifies discrepancies or issues and makes recommendations to

management for resolution.

. Assure that job documentation is up to date on all current job

processes.

. Responsible for production print operations and ensuring that all

reports are generated and printed according to defined schedules.

. Assists with tracking consumables used for the production print

environment.

. Verify accuracy and completion of production output and maintain daily

status log for shift procedures.

. Facilitate and ensure accurate backup magnetic media transactions to

and from the off-site storage vendor.

. Serves as a trainer and a go-to resource for the other overnight

Operator(s).

. Communicates current issues or conditions that may affect the Data

Center and/or production environments to the entire team.

. Contributes to Standard Operating Procedures used within the Data

Center Operations department.

. Maintains knowledge of all current systems being operated.

. Participates in special projects, as required.

. Performs other duties as requested by management.

Print Room Operator

. Operate (3) MOD3 laser printers and 3211, 3245 Impact printers through

the

use of JES2 and MVS/XA.

. Burst, trim and decollate forms.

. Operate (3) 3900

laser printers & cut, trim, stack.

. Mount tapes on (2) 3422 tape drives & (4)

3480 cartridge tapes.

. Monitor up to (9) servers per night shift.

. Reboot servers twice a week.

. Monitor logical links & both the DOCS & DB2 servers.

. Monitor trackers, LAMC & PITA & VITA nightly cycles on Operation &

Planning & Control System. These jobs are downloaded from the

mainframe.
