Provided direct admin support and customer service for base Commanding
Officer, Executive Officer, Command Master Chief, Admin Officer, and
personnel for 40 tenant commands (base total of 7,200 people including
spouses and children). Primary duties were as Assistant Correspondence
Yeoman and Official Mail Clerk. Assisted in the routing and tracking of
official DoD correspondence using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets as
databases. Contributed to the processing and tracking of our department's
personnel leave (vacation time) paperwork also using Excel spreadsheets.
Also was command Department Safety Rep, Fire Warden, and CSA (liaison
between department and Personnel Support Department who handles Navy
personnel service records.)

One of six Third Class Petty Officers to provide admin support and customer
service for the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, Command Master
Chief, and the additional 248 squadron personnel. Main tasks included
Correspondence Yeoman and Assistant Awards Yeoman. Also in charge of
updating/maintaining squadron's personnel records due to PS (Personnel
Specialist rate) manning shortage. Also performed duty watches as a
squadron Building Petty Officer (BPO) to supervise the security for the
squadron's barracks (living quarters for singles). Deployed on USS JOHN C
STENNIS in 2007 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom
(Jan- Aug 07).
