Project: Unified Billing Platform - SALES applications for Sprint-Nextel

Sprint-Nextel has many applications and front-end tools that are used by

their Retail stores, Dealers and National Retailers. These tools enable the

users to find the active, inactive PTNs, to look up the customer's account

details, to bulk activate prepaid cards and much more.

As a QA Test Lead and an on-site coordinator, I was responsible for

coordinating the testing (functional and system level testing) of all new

features related to Sprint Nextel sales applications.

Worked closely with several teams within the client organization (business,

development, project management, enterprise testing and operations) and

with offshore testing team.

Subject Matter Expert on all the web based SALES applications and the front-

end tools for Sprint-Nextel.

Participated in JAD sessions with Business Analysts to gather functional

requirements.

Analyzed system specification documents to identify test requirements.

Created test plans, test requirements, and functional test cases.

based intranet application.

Project : Planit.merck.com

I worked on the development of planit.merck.com website. This site

maintains calendars of Long Range Planning Tasks and High-Level Company

Planning Tasks. Merck employees can use this site to schedule and plan

their meetings.

Programmer/Analyst, Intellisoft Technologies Nov 1997 - Mar 1999

Client: AT&T, Herndon, VA

Initially, I worked on Y2K projects. After completing Y2K effort, I worked

on enhancing AT&T's billing applications. One enhancement required us to

comply with FCC mandate; another enhancement, a new ordering system,

allowed AT&T customers to switch between services without changing their

account number.

Tested applications for Y2K compliance using JCL.

Expanded the IMS database for Y2K conversion.

Created test plans and test scripts.

Developed and tested billing enhancements.

Senior Systems Analyst, Tata Consultancy Services 1995-1997

Client: Carolina Power and Light, NC

My focus was on development and test of mainframe applications. As a Senior

System Analyst, I managed a team of programmer/analyst.

Developed an Identification tool using REXX for identifying date and year

fields. The tool takes care of all the date formats such MM-DD-YY, DD-MM-

YY, Julian date and stand alone years.

Developed Data conversion tool in VS-COBOL II to modify and diagnose YEAR

2000 issues in flat QSAM files and VSAM data files.

Resolved YEAR 2000 issues in many applications. These applications were

developed using IDEAL, COBOL II, DATACOM and CICS.

Tested VS-COBOL II applications (Batch jobs) and online jobs using JCL.
