FEW LINES ABOUT THE PROJECT
The proposed a ZVS PWM TL dc/dc converter, which is composed of HB TL
and full-bridge sections. The switches sustain only half of input voltage;
it is suitable for high input voltage applications. Converter has two
operation modes: TL and two-level modes. In each mode, rectified voltage is
always close to output voltage; therefore, high-frequency content is
reduced, small filter inductance can be obtained. As a result, converter
can be adapted to wide input voltage range applications. All switches can
achieve ZVS in same manner as phase-shifted full-bridge converter.
The proposed dc/dc converter can achieve ZVS for the leading switches
relying on the output filter inductance in a wide load range and realize
ZCS for the lagging switches over a wide load and line range too thus, the
efficiency over the line range can be increased. This converter maintains
all advantages of the ZVS PWM TL dc/dc converter, including the reduced
filter inductance requirement and the lower voltage stress on the rectifier
diodes. Furthermore, the body diode reverse recovery of MOSFETs is also
eliminated due to ZCS in the two-level mode. The operation analysis,
characteristics, and design considerations of the proposed converter are
illustrated in this project.
