Experience
General Dynamics As Senior Analyst, I was responsible for the
creation of an Army data dictionary that mapped approximately 600 fields
to a parallel and Net-Centric database in the DoD. I maintained the Army
data dictionary throughout numerous block upgrades on both the Army and
DoD sides to maintain data integrity. I actively participated in change
configuration to determine the design; development and implementation of
the Army portfolio tool and resolve connectivity issues resulting from
the Army's portfolio management tool interfacing with AKO. I
participated in discussions with the DoD IT Repository Database (DITPR)
leads and collectively made decisions that would decide the Army's
architectural components of portfolio management. I was responsible for
establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the
Army's Chief Information Office (CIO/G6) and the Army users in the field.
I was responsible for the data integrity of the Army's portfolio
management database and seeing that user registrations for both training
and production were reported back to the CIO/G6. I tracked and evaluated
all problems relating to the Army portfolio management database and
provided support regarding all issues.
I was responsible for identifying and prioritizing key capabilities and
data assets to the CIO/G6 and DITPR. I was responsible for the accurate
transference of data from APMS to DITPR.
While at this position, I also prepared briefs and PowerPoint
presentations to communicate technical data concepts to numerous
technical and non-technical mid-level management and personnel.
Noblis (Mitretek Systems) Working both onsite and offsite on high-profile
government acquisitions; I supported, maintained, designed, developed and
debugged applications in the Notes environment.
LMI As a Lead Internet Application Developer, I gathered requirements,
designed, developed, tested, and deployed new Notes/Domino web
applications. I was also responsible for maintaining and developing
enhancements for existing Notes/Domino web applications. I have been the
lead developer on numerous projects, including surveys, collaborative web
sites, and automatic email generation/work-flow applications. I have
applied my knowledge of Java extensively in the Domino technical arena,
using Java to generate email, handle exceptions, sort arrays and numerous
string manipulations. I performed software installations and have worked
as part of a team to meet deadlines in the graphical design and
implementation of both internal and external web sites using computed
subforms, Java, HTML, JavaScript, Lotus Script, DHTML and the Domino AT
language. I have acted as the sole production-support person on many
occasions namely for the company-wide roll out of several Lotus
Notes/Domino web site applications. I also developed many agents to
reset computed fields, automating workflow. I have debugged Java, Lotus
Script, JavaScript and DOMINO proprietary language issues and resolved
general database corruption in all afore-mentioned applications as well
as the Lotus Notes Names and Address Book.
SAIC I worked on one of the first web calendaring applications that
ran on a UNIX platform using PYTHON, PERL, JAVA, HTML, CSS and
DHTML/JavaScript. I regularly interfaced with customers to design,
develop, deploy, and maintain internet tools (residing on both UNIX and
WINDOWS platforms).
Also at SAIC, I developed the necessary communication layers in C and C++
to make PARSEC compliant with the Simulation of Wireless Networks,
(SEAMLSS), and, using a parallel processing tool (PARSEC), I analyzed
metrics to verify and validate the number of messages received, sent and
processed during various scenarios consisting of several different
communication models.
I have developed and installed client/server-integrated software onto
UNIX platforms in preparation for deployment and installation at customer
sites. While on this project, I provided application development using C,
C++ and Motif extensively. I also provided maintenance, system
administration, technical troubleshooting, and user support. I have
conducted testing and/or provided test support during system and multi-
system testing of servers and legacy applications on UNIX platforms.
I have partitioned hard drives and installed LINUX, ported 3 MB
executable from SOLARIS 2.5 to LINUX environment, ported the same code
from Sun OS cc compiler to a SOLARIS GNU compiler and designed and coded
Graphical User Interfaces in Tcl/Tk, C, C++, SQL and Pro C that wrote to
and read from an ORACLE backend server.
I also provided desktop support.
Terragon: As Programmer Analyst working on the FAA Air Traffic
Controllers project, I was responsible for the production and delivery of
the requirements documents. I quickly became very proficient with the
several different requirements & traceability management tools used on
the project. I was also responsible for writing code in C to clean data
for database inclusion.
