**/**-*******: Department Manager for Scheduling and Earned Value Management,
SAIC
As the Department Manager for Scheduling and Earned Value Management, I am
responsible for the support of a variety of programs and clients, with a specific focus on
an on-going, multi-year engagement for a client located at the Edgewood Area of the
Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG-EA). Activities include, but are not limited to,
oversight of implementation of Earned Value Management Systems for external clients,
lending subject matter expertise and work product review for the development of
Monthly Earned Value metrics to include project status, variance, budget, cost and
schedule performance. I manage personnel traveling to client sites and participate in
Integrated Baseline Reviews and Joint Surveillance Reviews. I also work to Integrate
Earned Value data into Acquisition reporting documents and supervise the creation and
maintenance of complex programmatic schedules in Microsoft Project and/or
Primavera P3.
06/03– 09/08: Present: Senior Project Management Analyst, SAIC
As a Senior Project Management Analyst, I supported the U.S. Army Non-Stockpile
Chemical Materiel Project (NSCMP) whose mission is to safely destroy obsolete
chemical weapons and former chemical weapons production facilities. Duties included
project planning, developing project schedules, evaluating technical performance,
monitoring project cost, developing programmatic and management documentation
and supporting special studies.
All duties were completed by working closely with government clients on several
multimillion dollar projects. All assigned projects were completed on schedule and
under budget. I have received commendation letters from my customers and bonuses
from my employer in recognition of my performance.
04/98 – 01/02: Segment Marketing Manager, FCI Electronics
I was one of four Segment Managers conducting market research for an electronic
connector manufacturer by analyzing technology trends and developing market
strategies. My research predicted the convergence of digital telephones, MP3 players
and Personal Digital Assistants; consumer preference of cable modems over Digital
Subscriber Lines (DSL) internet service; the slow adoption of HDTV due to conflicting
technical standards; also predicted that personal computers (PCs) would not be
replaced by single purpose Digital Appliances. The insights provided were contrary to
prevailing thought and illustrate critical reasoning ability and independence of thought.
I provided guidance to the field sales organizations by developing annual marketing
plans, advised company executives on emerging technology standards, authored
strategic white papers for senior executive review and contributed to new product
development initiatives. I was the catalyst for e-commerce planning and
implementation.
09/94 -04/98: Northrop Grumman Corporation, Senior Engineer B
I was responsible for RF semiconductor market assessments to include product
planning and new product development initiatives. I was the principle liaison for the
semiconductor group supporting external sales representatives and distributors. I
worked to license semiconductor products through Dept of Defense and Dept of
Commerce and provided input to contract negotiations including product pricing and
volume quotes. I created product literature, a product tracking database and virtual
factory simulation models. The simulation models were used to perform capacity
planning and I presented a simulation paper at the International Manufacturing
Technology Conference (ManTech) in 1996.
06/87 -04/94: Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Pilot Line Supervisor
I was responsible for daily operations of silicon and gallium arsenide integrated circuit
manufacturing facilities and supervised over 50 semiconductor process technicians. I
increased Manufacturing Line Yield from 35% to 85%, resulting in over $1,000,000
annual savings and implemented a Precious Metals Recovery Program which saved an
additional $150,000 annually. I also implemented a cross-training program which
reduced product cycle time from 16 to 10 weeks.
