o The system included integration with the Compunetix Bridge
eliminating the need for manual intervention.

Consult on long-term project with large financial services company that
specializes in defined contribution plans. The project involved converting
legacy application data to new web based administrative software (OMNI
front-end) and providing quality assurance for incremental releases of that
software:
o Reviewed the new system functionality (BRDs FDDs & TDDs) for
improvements to make it more compatible for needs of the
clients. Made recommendations for changes that were
implemented by the IT staff
o Monitored performance of processing response times. Made
recommendations to fine tune the database resulting in
dramatic reduction in response times.
o Responsible for the quality assurance of the mechanized
process to convert the data from legacy systems to the new
system (OMNI). Maintained the QA of this process for 8 new
releases. Developed test plans/cases for new releases as well
as regression testing.
o Performed the data analysis to convert legacy data to new
client server database.

* Designed, developed and responsible for quality assurance of the
following HR systems using RAD and JAD sessions & Progress 4GL/DBMS to
develop systems for a major telecommunications company:
o Stock options tracking
o Automated pension calculation for both management and
occupational employees
o Pension calculation derivation. Including an enhanced pension
calculation required for a downsizing offer which the in-house
staff could not complete in time. This saved the company over 10
million dollars in employee salaries.
o Automation of the COBRA forms process. Client later sold
software to a major insurance company.
o Long-term disability. Working directly with 2 insurance
companies, proposed and developed a vendor verification process
that uncovered over $75K in incorrect charges.
o Life insurance deductions. Proposed and developed a process to
audit employee/retiree headcounts against eligibility feeds from
their insurance company that uncovered over $100K in uncollected
premiums.
* Provided data analysis and business analysis support to a fast growing
VOIP telecommunications company:
o Reviewed existing data structures for data integrity compliance.
Included using VISIO to reverse engineer the databases and to
review the raw data for corruption. Provided reports to list
issues regarding data integrity and recommendations for changes
to better normalize their data structures.
o Developed system to produce data extractions of customer
information required by subpoenas and regulatory agencies.
