Network Operations Technician 2009-Present
Global Research Network Operations Center, IUPUI, Indianapolis,
Indiana
Provide customer and engineer support for the Global Research Network
Operations Center (GRNOC) daily shift operations in the areas of
networks including the IUPUI campus network, the IU state data and
video networks, the Indiana Giga-POP, National Lambda Rail, along with
other IU supported national and international high performance
research and education networks. Involves detailed ticket creation and
management to track support and repair of issues and maintenance on
the networks, as well as, excellent written and oral communications
presence.
Webmaster, IUPUI 2001-2009

In this position I was responsible for content management,
maintenance, design collaboration, and expansion of IUPUI's core web
presence, helpdesk for the web at IUPUI, and customer support for
multiple departments. Designed and led training and Q&A sessions for
communication channels on campus. Administered and maintained non-
centralized web server for purposes of hosting the IUPUI Photo
Gallery. I assisted in managing the IUPUI web team of three web
specialists and several interns during my time there. Additional
responsibilities included PC and network connectivity troubleshooting
and local desktop support (Local Service Provider services).
Network Specialist 1996-2001
Beech Grove High School, Beech Grove, Indiana
Managed operating schedules, maintenance and repair of five multi-
media computer labs and network/client setup, installations and
maintenance on the system-wide WAN as the site administrator.
Webmaster responsibilities included generating content for and
performing maintenance on the BGHS web site. Additional
responsibilities included technical support, troubleshooting,
creative, as well as, creating and updating school-wide organizational
databases for inventory management. Faculty, student and community
instruction on computer and technology use; this included basic,
intermediate and advanced computer applications and for students web
page design and implementation.
Network Maintenance/Multimedia Technician 1995-1996
Metropolitan School District of Pike Township, Indianapolis, Indiana
Developed video and PowerPoint Multi-media presentations for district-
wide audiences throughout the school year. The duties of this
position also included instruction of faculty and staff on the use of
various technologies, network maintenance, troubleshooting and
expansion, operation and maintenance of Distance Learning equipment.
