Credentials for
INFORMATION SYSTEMS/DATA CENTER/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
Professional Highlights
Broad managerial experience and a tract record of significant contributions
in information systems, data centers and facilities management, operations,
training, telecommunications, help desk and technical support, including
demonstrated professional expertise in:
. Hardware evaluation, recommendations, acquisitions and installations.
. Leasing negotiations of new and used hardware and software.
. Upgrading of mainframes and peripheral equipment to increase capacity
to maintain service level while not increasing department budget.
. Training employees in the areas of computer operation to include help
desk functions, tape library functions, personal skills, and staffing
and multi-year budgeting.
In addition to having worked my way through the ranks to supervising a 3-
shift computer operations data center for the largest pump manufacturer in
the world, and in managing the data center of a large bank in the
northeast, I successfully managed the data center for one of the top ten
mortgage companies in the United States, servicing in excess of 400,000
loans daily. In this capacity I was responsible for all employees in the
operation of an IBM 3090-170S and in the operation of a Novel Local Area
Network, which services in excess of 1,000 employees with five remote
sites. As in all large data centers, this was a 24-7-365 operation. I
have successfully directed and managed the Information Technology
Department of the 19th largest city in Florida while, essentially, creating
its information technology department and I successfully directed and
managed the Computer Information Systems Division of a State Water
Management District.
I am a manager who strongly believes that people are the most important
asset in an organization and consider it a critical management task to
motivate and develop them.
