Personal Profile:
Paul is an Enthusiastic committed individual who is reliable, punctual, and
hard working. Paul graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2000
receiving a BA (Hon's) in Interactive Design. Paul's first position after
completing his studies was as a Senior IT Project Manager, for a local
government project establishing a 'VLE' pilot in the Yorkshire area in
2001, its objectives where to deliver training via the Internet to
childminders in rural areas. The project was presented to Tony Blair at his
request in 2001. Paul established his own company Cybertech Support
Services Ltd in 2002, mainly working with clients to produce e-learning
materials or else marketing and producing interactive cd-roms, one contract
was to produce the cd-rom for client BT in-regards to the launch of their
ISP 'Genie'. Paul was engaged as an educational consultant in-regard to the
ICT Vendor Skills program in the Humber region after his company won the
bid to provide training via eLearning resources. The project was funded by
RDA, Yorkshire Forward and Paul sat on the advisory panel at the New
Technology Institute based at the University of Hull Paul was the author
of the ICT road map in-regards to Flash MX & Dreamweaver MX training e.g.:
'Macromedia Certified Professional Qualification' for the programme. Paul
was an advisor for JC Consultancy based in Harrogate in 2004 and spent some
time in Malaysia consulting and advising Telecom Malaysia in-regards to
their pioneering digital and eLearning platforms. Paul completed his in-
service PGCE whilst working as a Lecturer at Hull College, South East Essex
College and Doncaster College. Paul was awarded his PGCE in 2005 by the
University of Hull. Paul has worked as an educational consultant in the
Yorkshire & Humber region on various contracts for the Hull LEA & Doncaster
LEA and was employed as a consultant for the East Riding of Yorkshire
Council to make recommendations on providing distance IT training
programmes for the Phoenix Broadband educational cluster...
Work History
April 10 - Present - Vice Principal/Moodle Consultant - Contract PCM2U
Vice Principal of the College of Business and Development Studies in
Bradford. Established policies and other management procedures for
applications to organisations such as Edexcel, City & Guilds, NCFE and BAC
(British Accreditation Council) Established all administration processes
for the college courses. Attending training when required further to
delivering qualifications eg: Edexcel etc. Attended meetings as required
with stakeholders and external partners such as Bradford College et al.
Responsible for team meetings and standardisation processes in-regards to
college courses. Met with EV's from awarding bodies and presented work
accordingly. Managed and trained staff as required. Reported directly to
the Principal of the College. Responsible for all health and safety
requirements of the college as well as student welfare. Involved in direct
marketing of courses and establishing programs with third parties.
Development of the colleges VLE - Moodle, rolled out the program in the
college and trained staff in its use. Managed the VLE as required.
Sept 09 - March 10 - MKLC - eLearning Tutor/Moodle Consultant - Contract
PCM2U Mentored students on the course and provided assessment and
standardisation for all the work produced via City & Guilds - PTLLS - CTLLS
- DTLLS. Carried out observations as required.
April 09 - Aug 09 - Akuro Ltd - Instructional Designer/eLearning Tutor -
Contract PCM2U
Instructional Designer/eLearning Tutor - employed to create interactive
curriculum enhancement and revision tools, for threshold level teaching
qualifications, using Adobe Captivate 3-4. Mentored students on the course
and provided assessment and standardisation for all the work produced via
City & Guilds - PTLLS - CTLLS - DTLLS. Carried out observations as
required.
Jan 05 - August 10 - PCM2u
Consultancy, Training, Assessment - supplying enterprise and media
enhancement programmes for the Hull County Council, delivering consultancy
and analysis and feedback as appropriate to School leaders, Educational
advisors and Council department managers. Establishment of MOODLE MLE's for
various companies and training providers in the UK and Ireland.
Establishment of be-spoke courses in-regards to Teacher Training and Work
based assessment. Moodle technical support and
installation as required, consultancy in-regards to plugins and other
applications related to the open source software.
June 04 - Dec 04 - Doncaster College
Consultant - Worked on a creative industries project as a consultant and
was asked to write and validate new course, Media Audio for the college.
Delivered specialist units to EDEXCEL for validation, managed the role out
of the course undertaking all necessary administration duties and advised
on some HE units for the establishment...

eLearning advisor - joined the team in Kuala Lumpa to provide input into
meetings as an eLearning expert, advised on blended learning solutions and
advocated various methods of training via online learning portals to the
company's directors at Telecom Malaysia HQ. Produced a presentation on
'Blended Learning', 'Delivery & Distance', 'Learning Portals', delivered to
the Board of Directors as required.
Jan 03 - May 04 - Cybertech Support Services Ltd, Humber.
Educational Consultant - contracted to the Hull University, (National
Technology Institute) to deliver the training provision for the Yorkshire
Forward 'Vendor skills' program in the Humber region. Advocated the
delivery mechanism to associated vendors in the Humber and Yorkshire
regions, administered the program and delivered the candidates to their
examinations, i.e.: MCP (Macromedia Certified Professional). Author for the
ICT Vendor Skills roadmap specifications for the Adobe ACE (Adobe Certified
Expert) certification.

Lecturer - prepared units for; BSc Media Production Technology & Multimedia
Course. Prepared all documents and transferred information to the colleges
Intranet also provided associated SOW. Course Leader for BND 1st Year,

Oct 01 - June 02 - Hull College, Hull, Humber
Lecturer - on the National Diploma Media Technology course, this work was
necessary to achieve my Post 16 Teaching and Training Certificate as
observation in the classroom and 30 Hours teaching where needed to pass the
course. Delivered teaching on the UCLES introduction to media technology
course and the BTEC National Diploma in media. Established lesson plans
aims and objectives and undertook individual tutorials.
Jan 01 - Oct 01- Internet College - (ESF Project) York, Yorkshire
Senior IT Project Manager - Reporting at Director Level, responsible for
the development, implementation and maintenance of all systems and
infrastructure required to launch and run the business, using internal and
external resources as appropriate. Established team of designers and
developers. Managed relationships with partners, suppliers, customers and
key personnel within the parent company. Contributed to the overall
strategic direction of the business. Implemented measures to monitor IT
expenditure and control project risks. Ensured that the quality of services
delivered to the business was first class and that the security of systems
and data where met. Represented the company at various conferences
nationwide within the e-education market place. The aim of the project was
to create a VLE using Flash technology, to train childminders over distance
and deliver the training to rural areas and to childminders that where

Multimedia Developer - started working for this client whilst at University
in 1997, scoped an interface design using shockwave for one of their ezine
projects the "Black Hole". Designed a 3D interface and navigation structure
that utilised sound applicable to the market...Also worked as a
contributing writer on the ezine Music Dish providing Industry comment on
emerging codec's such as mp3 etc Also reviewed software and publications
in-regards to New Media for the company

Multimedia Developer - this client was found whilst at University in 1998,
I worked with the former founder director of the company in-regards to
mocking up an interface design for a 3D Audio mixing programme. I mocked
the design up in Director and presented the concept to Scott Willing who's
subsequently presented the work to the board for their approval. Worked
closely with Scott on audio path manipulation in 3D and was presented
Qsound applications that programmers used to map 3D audio manipulation

Multimedia Developer - this account was active since 1999 and was freelance
work obtained through TAGItMedia in the USA whilst studying full time at
University, work was undertaken to produce set through online tutorials
regarding the use of most new media applications
Sep 97 - July 2000 - Lincoln & Humberside University, Hull.
Graduate - Lincoln & Humberside University with a degree in "Interactive
Design". Produced 2 CD projects, one an Independent Practise titled "Fun
with Numbers" which consisted of an on-line children's maths game a VLE
(Virtual Learning Environment). The second a live client brief to re-design
Carlton Televisions "VideotechTV" Web Site. The Videotech "Virtual" TV
project was entered into the Europrix2000 competition in Salzburg,
Austria Created a 10.000 word dissertation on current aspects of
audiovisual delivery via the Internet titled "New Media in Cyberspace". The
thesis on New Media in Cyberspace was published by TagItMedia in NYC, USA
via their b2b portal
Feb 91 - Dec 97 - IVI Ltd, Hull
Founder and Director of IVI Ltd - The major project was a public/private
sector hook up to deliver music technology and games design training to
youth in the Hull area. The project was co-funded by Hull Council and a
school was provided and converted into a recording studio, offices and
performance space. I provided the overall management of the project and
utilised my skills in the recording studios, I also looked after the games
design team working with the game concepts and programmers, we mainly used
Atari computers for the music production and Amiga, s for the game
production, One title was made available for publishing and two singles and
one promo video where produced.
