PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY: I have worked as an Architectural
Drafter/Designer/Construction Administrator/Project Manager for 24 years.
I have worked under many tight deadlines and am able to take a project from
concept to construction, and have worked with professionals from every role
of specialization in the field as well as guiding clients along the way.
During the last 10 years of my professional career I have specialized in
the fields of Construction Administration, Building Code Official, and have
taken many projects through the Entitlement process working with Cities and
Jurisdictions throughout the country with great results for the passing of
projects through their systems as well as providing Due Diligence reports
for the clients noting to them what needs to be done to make the project
successful and approvable.
During the last 20 years my work has brought me projects of great diversity
and the opportunity to improve my communication skills with the project
team, clients, as well as contract administration of project documents in
all phases.
Having worked on a variety of project types such as new construction,
corporate tenant finish, addition/remodel, and as a Plans Examiner, has
demonstrated to me a certain basic universal concept applicable to all
design which includes familiarizing myself with in depth use of the current
International Building Codes, A.N.S.I. and A.D.A. Accessibility Standards.
Part of my practical experience has come from "hands on" residential
construction, but most of my planning, design, and code experience comes
from education, work experience and from construction coordination with
Architects, Engineers, Building Code Officials (I am a current member of
the International Code Council), and Contractors. I have also reviewed
third party engineers reports on forensic/construction defect cases for a
local Denver Law Firm, which included reports and court testimony.
