As an airline dispatcher I am responsible for flight planning, scheduling, flight following, logistical

airline planning, crew scheduling and in constant contact with all airport operation centers containing

status of flights, updating maintanence issues or delays and cancellations. This requires very

detailed communication with several operation centers and being responsible for passing complete

and accurate information to all parties involved.

Also responsible for complying with all FAA regulations and procedures regarding the legality of

flights in weather and airport restrictions. I must be thoroughly familiar with all company manuels and

regulations pertaining to company aircraft.

NAVIGATION

As an assistant navigator on three navy ships I was responsible for the safe navigation of my ships operating in

the vicinity of shoal water, restricted waterways and harbors. I was responsible for the upkeep and operation of

all navigation equipment. I was responsible for the accuracy of navigation charts and pubs thru the latest notice

to mariners messages. I was responsible for ordering all of navigations supplies. I was also responsible for

training junior navigator's and there supervision. I was responsible for my ship's voyage planning for two

different deployments of six months in length or longer. In this I was responsible for the detailed track and

voyage planning for over six foreign ports. I was responsible for standing underway navigation watches ensuring

the safety of the ship's underway navigation. I also served as the ship's expert weather observer, making

reports to the officer of the deck on temperature, dew point, winds and weather forecasts. Also responsibe for

tracking storms.

General Deck hand on board a NOAA vessel. I was responsible for helmsmen duties in open ocean waters

as well as anchoring, mooring and getting the ship underway to sea. In addition I was assigned to

standing underway and in port security watches.

In my eight years of navy service I have served in five different commands including four different navy ships

stationed all over the world. Working from basic seamen ship to advanced assistant to the navigator. I I have

advanced at an above average rate. I have completed three over seas deployments of atleast six months, taking

me to 13 foreign countries. I also have an active top secret clearance thru the military. I will receive my

honorable discharge in August 2006.

I have received a Navy and Marine achievement award for excellence in performance.
