Over 20 years of experience in the log yard. I have successfully performed
many job tasks, ranging from sorting veneer by grades and quality to ground
c rew operations- accurately taping log lengths for grade and quality to
p roduce the highest possible product. I was promoted to Log Handler Lead
and mobile Equipment Operator, which has allowed me to further expand my
experience in this field. I have demonstrated a strong work ethic, a positive

WORK H ISTORY
Stacker Loader Operator- Weyerhaeuser- Lebanon, Oregon
February 19, 2008 to November 13, 2009
Daily inspect and record mobile equipment function prior to operations.
Operate various mobile equipment in the log yard; such as Volvo L120E,
Volvo L180E, Cat 980 front end loaders. These are used for removing short
logs from block pockets, stacking into storage rows and putting short logs
onto re-entry decks to be processed into lumber. Drive water t ruck for dust
control. Operate Letourneau's 4594,2694 and 2594 to remove loads of logs
f rom log t rucks to be rolled out onto the ground to be scaled. Scoop up loads of
logs off ground to be stored in to log storage decks or put up on mill infeed
deck to be processed in the mill to make lumber. Communicate with other
departments as needed. Operate Weigh Scales- Input information into
computer from load receipts from each t ruck load of logs that come across the
weigh scales. Print additional load receipt and attach to load. E-mail and
p rint “End of Day” reports daily of total load count and sorts to supervisor
and accounting department. Active member of the Safety Lead Team.
Log Handler Lead- Willamette/Weyerhaeuser- Coburg, Oregon
September 2000 to February 18, 2008
Operate various mobile equipment; Letourneau 4594,2694,2594. Komatsu
f ront end loaders, Cat 980 and 966 front end loaders. Water T ruck, Aerial
P latform, Scissor L ift, Fork L ift. Supervised a team of up to 18 associates and
p rovided t raining, evaluations and constructive feedback. Managed the day-
to-day operations of the log yard. Organized daily work schedules and duties.
M anaged and reported a daily/weekly/monthly/yearly inventory of logs.
Coordinate and conduct weekly safety meetings. Trained and coached
associates to reach their greatest potential to accurately and safely operate
various mobile equipment and to perform other job tasks. Communicate with
other associates and departments regarding any changes made during the
workday to ensure business needs and productivity goals were met. Approve
t ime for payroll. Rerouted assignments and duties when mobile equipment
malfunctioned to keep the f low moving safely and efficiently. Help implement
and enforce safety policies. Maintain reports to t rack usage of log inventories
and overtime. Assist with various other job tasks as appropriate. Assist in the
mechanics shop as needed; using the forklift to help remove generators from
mobile equipment to moving supplies off delivery t rucks to be stored in shop.

September 1989 to September 2000
Accurately measure the length of logs and mark according to defects and
g rades to be scaled. Put i r rigation sprinklers on log decks. Performed duties
pertaining to the weigh scales. Drove water t ruck to maintain dust control. In
1997, I started cross t raining into the lead position and had delegation when
supervisor was absent. Operate power saw to remanufacture logs to better
suit the mill specifications.
