Worked on Daily Support team for client Citi. Responsibilities
included research into the Investar*One mutual fund processing system,
JCL, NDM and FTP maintenance, and development and execution of data
plugs for DB2 tables and IMS segments. Assisted in the construction of
annual purge process along with conversions and de-conversions from
system.

From 2002 to 2008, worked as a Software Project Leader
overseeing
a staff of 6 software developers and 1 business analyst to develop and
maintain mutual fund applications. The staff utilized COBOL II, CICS,
DB2, SQL, JCL, VSAM, FILEAID, EXPEDITER, and Easytrieve to develop and
maintain system. As a Software Project Leader in the client services
group, oversaw all projects and maintained relationships with business
clients, including weekly and monthly status updates through
conferences and written reports.
Recent examples of projects:
+ Analyzed, designed code, tested and implemented programs to convert
data from an older VSAM based facility to a newer, more efficient DB2-
based facility.
+ Created programs to redirect virtually all dealer and shareowner
output from an internal DST company to an external output vendor. Most
of the changes involved JCL modifications for the redirect.
From 1998-2002, worked as a software developer utilizing COBOL II,
DB2, SQL, JCL, FILEAID, EXPEDITER, CICS and Easytrieve. Primary focus
was on two major components of the system, Sharelot and Investor.
Sharelot was developed to track the aging of purchase shares for the
purpose of calculating the contingent deferred sales charge for rear-
end load funds. Investor was designed to produce shareholder
statement data. Worked with fellow associate to develop dealer
packages of shareholder statements.
Other responsibilities: Served as client representative on two
committees. One fostered communication between client groups on
initiatives being developed within each of the client groups. The
second met to develop contingency plans in case of major system
failures due to natural or unnatural crises.

Worked as a programmer/analyst in the Information Management unit of
MetraHealth. Primary responsibilities included creating programming
solutions to provide accurate, quality information to internal and
external customers regarding medical claims, eligibility, provider,
plan and other information related to the health care business. Worked
frequently with data that arrived in a variety of formats, such as
hardcopy and electronic reports, data tapes and cartridges.
Application development and maintenance was done in both the MVS/TSO
and VM/CMS environments using COBOL II, OS JCL, FILEAID, PLSORT, RAMIS
and SAS.

As programmer, assisted in maintaining and developing on-line/batch
systems for county government. Work with every facet of county
government, ranging from the Assessor's Department to Family Court
to Planning and Development to Court Administration. Job includes
analyzing the needs of various departments, developing departmental
software systems, maintaining software, installing terminals and
printers, performing operations tasks and serving as a user
consultant.
Maintenance of the Assessor's system requires heavy use of COBOL, but
RPG III was the primary programming language for a majority of the
departmental systems. Also programmed in Clipper and DBASE III PLUS
for development of PC-based systems.

As Programmer, assisted in the maintenance and development of on-
line/batch systems for the publication company, including for customer
order inquiry. Used MANTIS for on-line applications and COBOL for
batch applications. Maintained a product management system designed to
track the cost of development and sales of a product. This major
system is comprised of approximately 300 on-line and 15 batch
programs.
